Hi,
I have a problem with Dynamic Dashboard III on X870E Godlike.
Dashboard have a problem with show information such as temp, dynamic image, ... LCD flickers when show information temp.
If you have any way to fix it, please help me.
Thank you so much.
Best regard.

Solution
I am receiving messages that the bridge is mostly stable with the version from 16th Jan. So first of all, please make sure you update the firmware as well as BIOS and MSI Center.
What they said. ^

Additionally—as I've previously stated—we have no idea if all of the Dashboard reports are the same issue. Some of those that had hardware failure may have had a hardware issue, on top of the software issue. We have no idea if it's all the boards. There's a bias to this thread, because people are only posting here if they have issues. The people who have no issues—if they exist at all—wouldn't have a reason to post here or anywhere else.

It's all unknown. The future is not set. There is no fate but what MSI makes for us.

I take that as a compliment. Thank you. I expend a lot of time and effort reviewing and editing my statements; as well as researching such things as em and en dashes—ALT codes 0151 and 0150, respectively. 0153 for ™, 0186 for º, all things I have memorized.

I've rewritten most portions of this response several times.

LLMs can be useful to discover new concepts, but I wouldn't rely on it to generate results for me.

Your post, and this post, are extremely off–topic, and I implore a moderator to delete both.

Update!

My Dashboard just disconnected and reconnected for the first time in weeks! It went into Loading twice, and now it's on the basic monitoring stats.

My PC has been on for a few hours and it loaded my custom GIF just fine and has been fine up until just this minute.

Last FW/Data update (was the same version so no real version update, just a refresh) was Jan. 22nd, 2025 at 1PM EST. It's now Feb. 6th, 2025 and the issue occurred at 11:30 EST. 16 days without issue, in total.

I just launched my MSI Center and re-applied my custom GIF. It said Loading and then applied the GIF.

I'm going downstairs for food, so I'm turning off my PC for electric bill purposes, but I'll do another update if this issue persists.

It's only DC/RC once, not constantly yet, but it's only been a few minutes and this is clearly a sign that things are NOT FINE!

Can anyone tell me if you can jump straight to the latest BIOS and Firmware/Data and MSI Center (or not install this bloatware), from the factory BIOS installed?
As far as I'm aware you can. I don't think you need to iterate through versions and can just go to the latest at the time for BIOS + Firmware/Data.

I'll check real quick on the date of my last Update Tool usage and edit this with the info.
That's a shame to hear.

I've not experienced this yet thankfully, but I just keep CPU Usage and Ram Usage % stats on it. I don't use a gif/custom video.
When I boot up my computer each day, it does have the default 4 stats displayed and I need to re-apply the 2 stats I usually choose.

I'd be curious if those experiencing the disconnect/reconnect leave their computers on 24/7 usually, or shut off each day.

I shut it off any time I plan to be away from it for more than ~20 minutes, since I'm on a fixed income and electricity costs have been crushing me. It's probably about 3-5 times a day I turn it off and on.

Here solution
Firstly, Remove power cable of PC
Secondly, Unplug EZ Bridge out of mainboard and EZ cable of EZ control HUB
Thirdly, Wait for 1 hour
Fourthly, Plug EZ Bridge on mainboard and power cable of PC, but don't plug EZ cable of EZ control HUB
Fifthly, you will see EZ Bridge works again!
Sixthly, you download X870E GODLIKE Dashboard here: https://forum-en.msi.com/index.php?...d-iii-issue-x870e-godlike.406552/post-2301082, extract and run Update Data first then run Update FW
Done!
**** MSI Dynamic Dashboard software may cause problems, you shouldn't install again
***** MSI x870e is still a 10-layer pcb board on the market today, with a strong VRM, I run 9800x3d with 5.4 GHz all cores in game PUBG, CO -40 and Cpu Calibration loadline level 8 ! (Highest vdroop), cinebench r23 multi 23300
***** GIGABYTE X870E AORUS XTREME AI TOP is 8-layer pcb board, vrm is parralle not high end => https://global.aorus.com/blog-detail.php?i=965
Dang. I've been eyeing this board since November with a plan to finally buy one this week. It's the only X870E motherboard that's boasting such supremely top-high end hardware such as the 10 layer PCB and 27 phase power delivery with 26 directly for Vcore. From what I've seen, the next best board is only 18 phase Vcore power delivery - that's basically 50% more than the next best board, which is an INSANE margin. This board is also supposed to have the best DDR5 overclocking, bar none. I was really looking forward to these features more than anything. This board is admittedly quite lacking in terms of fan headers, especially for a board that can deliver enough power to damn near require custom loop cooling solutions on the high end of overclocking, but whatever. I was planning to make due using third party fan and ARGB hubs.

But if these boards are having this many defects, serious enough to warrant RMA-ing, then I can't possibly buy one of these in good conscience. I'll just end up needing to return it two weeks into ownership after having spent damn near [***CENSORED***] RTX 4090 money on a motherboard. But I was willing to pay that for its one-of-a-kind VRM and other OC-minded hardware solutions.

Alas, here we are. So, what competing board should I go with? The ASUS Crosshair HERO? Aorus Master AI TOP? The ASRock Taichi Power-BOTTOM? The Carbon Wifi? Or just drop down to the $400-$500 range and get a Gaming Wifi E?

Waiting for the new boards from Asus (X870E Apex, Crosshair X870E Maximus Extreme) what's coming in March💪🏼

I'm less worried now that I know where the on-board Power and Reset switch headers are, but beyond the high end power system the bling of the screen was a deciding factor. The board has been really solid for me EXCEPT for the Easy Bridge / Dynamic Display. Having said that, I probably would not buy the board right now if I didn't already have it.

Msi shipped back defective Dashboard I shipped to them on Jan 28th. They shipped back replacement same day they received mine. They didn't bother fixing it it seems.
I checked the firmware on it and it's on latest Jan -16 update for FW and Data. It works as intended and has been installed for 4 days now.

I reboot my PC about 3-4 times a day. When not in use for more than 1hr, I have shutdown schedule on it automatically. (just in case I forget to do so when going away) Power bill is creeping up since this build is sucking about 110W on idle when I measured it.

Board has been super stable otherwise. Did I have issues, Yes as most of us have here. Did MSI fix it? Yes and quite quickly, but I wish they had better directions and explanation on their page or even chime in here to tell us how to properly update the firmware.

I did build another PC for a friend with this board last week. Ran dashboard firmware update, without anything plugged into it except Front panel button. All went smoothly.

Seems the secret is to simply run the firmware update without having anything plugged into the Bridge, and not having MSI Center running.

I will report back if my Dashboard crashes but for now all is well.

Also running latest Bios on this board as of Feb 6th of this post.

Cheers,

Pete

I'd be curious if those experiencing the disconnect/reconnect leave their computers on 24/7 usually, or shut off each day.
As soon as the final parts for my build arrive I will have mine on for ~8-12 hours a day and can report back.

Until then, while stress testing my delid, I've noticed the board does not like to restart. Every time I restart in windows it shuts down instead of restarting.
Anyone else run into this?
Also is it correct that this board does not come with a speaker? My box was a return so I can't be sure if that person just forgot to put it back in the box.

No speaker in mine either. I picked up one up on amazon for $3.19

I haven't seen that, restart seems fine. Also, I always use Hibernate when I shut down for the night and it works perfectly

Hibernate isn't a restart.

For me it is so bad that even while I was installing windows (which restarts during the setup process many times) I came back to the PC wondering what went wrong because it kept turning off, but it was because of the failed restarts

Yes, I know that hibernate is not a restart, hence the 'also' in "restart seems fine. Also,".

And Hibernate is very close to a restart, and different from 'Sleep' in that it actually shuts the computer down completely, and you see the BIOS splash screen on restart, which is why I mentioned it.

I've restarted for Windows Updates and software installs that annoying demanded it, and it seems fine, though I guess that is more of a reset than a restart. I am running one BIOS version back, and don't plan on updating to 24 given how many off issues people have seemingly reported.

Still only 2 DC/RC's here since the 1/16 update. Default stats come up after the RC and I click apply to get the GIF working again. GIF still automatically starts with Windows. I turn off the PC every night.

Reboots cause the top right and left temps to stick on the screen and part of the POST code sticks and persists after Windows starts. I usually don't reboot due to this weirdness.

This might be due to bad CPU/MEM configuration overclocking. I would run memtest86 on it and make sure your memory is stable. I had bad stick of mem on my previous build before so I know it's a thing.

Interesting. Thanks for the info. I wasn't sure if I was alone in my experience today.

Okay.

Repaired Easy Bridge is back in the machine, no MSI control Center installed at all, it is running the current firmware and just left running the default screen (which I like since it displays useful data).

Nothing at all plugged into it, not even power / reset that I have plugged directly into the MB.

System 'restart' and 'starts' correctly, comes out of 'hibernate' with no unusual delays, and its been fine through the day.

Let's see what happens over the next couple of weeks...
