I am receiving messages that the bridge is mostly stable with the version from 16th Jan. So first of all, please make sure you update the firmware as well as BIOS and MSI Center.
This is probably a long shot but can people who have failed devices tell us what the manufacturing date was? On the serial number, the two number after the B is the year and the two numbers after that is the month. I am curious if its only a specific batch of these or if it is all of them.
B2410. My dead DD3 got delivered to MSI in Sacramento, CA today.

Mine was B2410 and my friends that also failed was 2411. Both our DD3 came back with most recent update on it for FW and Data. We only shipped the DD3 boards not complete motherboards.

Well if it's bricked then only MSI can help to recover it 🙃
I dunno. Mine was bricked, I guess. There was nothing showing up on the dash besides a subtle luminescence emanating from the backlight. If that's considered bricked, then I guess I unbricked it by tucking it in for a 2 week–long nap.

You make a good point though. It's still funny to think that they aren't actually doing anything useful. I can't let my unwavering hate dissipate!

I sendt a mail at MSI Italy, to get them know. In the mail i explain the problem and the relevant number of users that have these problems, saying that I wish this board for a my build, but I not yet have it and stopped from buying cause if these huge problems.

They wrote me back saying to update the DD-III firmware and MSI software to latest version... 🤔🤔🤔 ... 😅🤣 (even saying I have not the board)
No comment about that.

So I wrote back them again complaining that they not even got the meaning of the message, explaining again, placing screens of the resellers bad reviews, of forums, and other places (here too) where all talk about the same problem, inviting them to take this kind of thing with urgency, because is not a light defect, in the facts it arrive to not allowing you to turn on the PC.

Let's see so, but is really strange that still there is not any real action coming from MSI.

I got an answer from MSI America support.
They wrote about a link in my answer, with a firmware that can fix the described problem... But in the received mail I cannot see any link.
Actually I wrote a reply saying that and asking to send again that missing link, I can just wait they answer back.

I not want to give false hopes, but at least looks like a kind of unreleased firmware that maybe they are working on... In the my reply I specifically asked about this.

The new received answer from the support simply say to update with the last firmware and MSI Center software.
In addiction MSI Italy support declare that they got a discussion and research about the described problem, and they say, according to them, that the described issue is not present in the latest released firmware, linking the main support page with the firmware of the MSI X870E GODLIKE board.
I dont know so what to think, in the meantime, few minutes ago, i wrote about the stuffs also to MSI China... Lets see if will answer and what.

This motherboard sucks. The specifications are worthless. I fully regret buying it. I'm going to figure out how to proceed with a small claims court case. I want my money back. 3 months or so and it isn't fixed for me, yet every source I'm seeing indicates MSI has marked the issue as resolved. I don't believe that there will be additional updates intended to address this for those of us who still have issues.

I sent my board back about a month ago and just got it back today (I'm overseas, so it takes longer). The LCD was completely dead, and the PC wouldn't boot.

It's the same board I sent back, filled with fingerprints, and what seems to be a stain around the whole CPU socket as if they cleaned it with something. It's also the same LCD screen, I recognize it because it has this sort of fingerprint but it's on the inside of the screen.

I already bought a new different board so I'm not going to bother with this one. Maybe for a secondary PC somewhere down the line.

Wow. so they sent it back to you, and didn't resolve the issue. That is beyond garbage. The spec's on this motherboard are not worthless. The IO is and the specs are great on paper. The actual board, is worthless.
