Hi,
I have a problem with Dynamic Dashboard III on X870E Godlike.
Dashboard have a problem with show information such as temp, dynamic image, ... LCD flickers when show information temp.
If you have any way to fix it, please help me.
Thank you so much.
Best regard.

Solution
I am receiving messages that the bridge is mostly stable with the version from 16th Jan. So first of all, please make sure you update the firmware as well as BIOS and MSI Center.
Actually my DD3 looks working normally, but it was showing a lot of scratches, even with the sealed board, and the protective films on it, all M2 shields was in place when unboxed, and the assembly procedures was done with high care and using gloves, removing the films only to the end.
Im an italian user, and so opened a ticket explaining this thing.
I asked so for a replace of the entire EZ-Bridge, in order to repair the visual damages.
After their considerations, and with my extreme surprise, they decided to send me the entire magnetic EZ-Bridge.
In practice now I have two working DD3, but the original one is strongly affected by these noticiable scratches... Will keep it as spare part if needed.. I hope will not.

But what is making me scary, even if offtopic... In a ticket now they say that the M2_1 speed bug is not a problem fixable with a BIOS update, saying so it is an hardware issue, and require a physical fix.
I'm not really sure and trustful on it, because if the slot sometimes work at his full speed, I think more is the BIOS that fail to assign the right speed at the slot on startup, and is not an hardware related issue... Is that right or wrong?
Someone know more on this problem? Actually I not know if I may replace the board for this or not.
Thank you in advice for answers or considerations about this last thing.

I am hesitant to believe it is a hardware issue until they are more specific about it. If they know what is physically wrong, does that mean they also have a fix for it? is there a new revision out there we can order? If I get a new one, how will I know it has the fix and is not going to be and older one with the "bad" hardware?

In the practice they first said me to update the BIOS with revision coming form a Google Drive link, and not officially released, and so I not used it... It was the 1A34... Now that is official I'm using it, but it not fix the M2_1 problem...
But I noticed that fix the M2_2 drive, saw as removable, and now is not.
So, in practice they told me more kind of answers and opposite between them, and the last one is saying that is not fixable with a BIOS, but I really have no trust in this.
Actually I'm using so the M2_2 slot, that run at full speed, but is not a solution... If I want to use the M2_1 actually I cannot.

It could be HW issue which cause some interference and thus dropping to gen 1 speed.
Did you tried enable Fch spread spectrum in bios? For some it fixed gen speed issue for GPU, maybe it can help for nvme as well.

I not tried, I can try soon as I can...
But the stuffs don't change!
There is too much confusion about this issue, and literally the MSI agents answer always with a different opinion, and there is not even one of them that make sense, or have an explain.

Is it a real Hardware issue? If is that, why they not send a official communication on how to understand wich boards are affected? Why they not call back the faulty boards?
Why we cannot at least have an indication on which production dates are affected?
The answer is maybe this is not considered an Hardware issue.

If the M2_1 slot sometimes wake up and work at full speed, (and all of us are noticing a rare case where the slot work as it may) in my personal opinion, the Hardware is working, and is the BIOS that is not telling the right instruction at startup to work as it may.
If is an Hardware issue, it may freeze the PC, or making errors while it is working at his full speed, but it not happen, it just work until the next reboot.
I'm wrong with this conclusion?

It might be HW problem with specific board rather than whole batch, but only MSI knows data
When you start board, its doing diagnostic check, training and if it find problem it can reset some function like memory speed or pcie speed to lower. Again its speculation as only MSI engineers know details how this work.

My board is from jan 2025 and i have the m2_1 issue where i boot my pc and its pcie 1.0 and if i restart it always restarts to pcie 4.0 at full speed i've been doing this for a whole month and its consistant every time and my last dd III reboost was roughly a month ago bios a34 did nothing to fix anything really

1A34 only fixed the M2_2 drive, that was saw as removable, and now is not, and so im using the M2_2 instead of the bugged M2_1

I cannot actually monitoring the GPU bandwidth, I'm using an old 1070 GTX just to install the system, cannot say anything on it actually

Looks like this is a huge problem across the board. Guess I should've researched it more before dropping three times what most boards run for.
I'm having the issue of the Reconnect/Disconnect sound effect playing, already tried to unplug it and plug it back to no effect.
And I can't update the firmware because it disconnects during the updating of the software/data causing a "Update Failed" prompt.

You may try as someone did, to keep the power plug off for some time to discharge the PC, than turn it on and perform the refresh of the firmware and data as soon as Windows boot.

Is still not a real fix, but someone say it help to keep the EZ-Bridge working.

I did try this, but it didn't work. Tried every fix I could find. Problem is that it didn't resolve the issue and just kept disconnecting during the attempt at updating the software data.

This has been covered multiple times in this Groundhog Day discussion. If disconnecting it for a couple of days doesn't let you flash the DD3 it is pooched, dead, stick a fork in it, its done. RMA time.

I have not had anymore disconnects so I consider the display reasonably stable. Now it's just the m2_1 slot speed problem that is equally bad and continuously there :(

Did you tried use addin nvme card as workaround? That gives two additional gen5 x4 nvme slots. For GPU 8 or 16 gen5 lanes make no difference.

I can confirm i'm still getting the disconnect on the EZ-Bridge however its now about a month or more between disconnects and having to re-flash the firmware and data on the EZ-Bridge to fix it. if I don't re-flash it will restart itself multiple times. I can also confirm having issues with the m2_1 slot randomly being in PCIe 1x4. restarting the system seems to fix this but its for sure an issue. It's really upsetting to have had so many issues with this hardware for so long with no real response or proper update. Just the hope that one day we might get a new update show up on the support page that makes a difference

MSI is checking the problem and advise to update firmware again
- Please report back the current FW & DATA version and result (display works or not) here!!!!!

refer to SOP to flash both FW and Data file, ignore the cable part since dashboard is onboard

Been having issues with M.2_1 slot dropping to Gen1 speeds despite having a Gen5 Crucial T705 4TB installed which still has not been addressed by MSI for the Godlike X870E motherboard, but now today my Dynamic Dashboard stopped responding as well. I tried running this Dynamic Dashboard tool ND updating the FW and data but it just froze and now my Dynamic Dashboard isn't recognizable, it just gets stuck on "detecting" and Dynamic Dashboard won't open in MSI Center either:

Having the same issues with M.2_1 and now the Dynamic Dashboard. After cold boots M.2_1 will be in PCIE1X4 and sometimes after multiple warm boots I can get to PCIE3.0x4 OR PCIE4.0x4, very rarely do I ever see PCIE5.0x4.

And now today my Dynamic Dashboard stopped working and is no longer detectable.
For $1400 MSRP this MOBO is an absolute nightmare and tech support has been useless.

If not already done, shutdown your PC and flip switch or disconnect psu cable, remove DD3 and let it rest overnight or at least for hour, then put it back and try to flash it, if you are lucky it could recover. If not DD3 need RMA.

You can also use board without DD3, connecting your case power and reset switch to pinson bottom of your board under heatsink.
