Solution
I am receiving messages that the bridge is mostly stable with the version from 16th Jan. So first of all, please make sure you update the firmware as well as BIOS and MSI Center.

This is /not/ a complete solution, unfortunately. Consider this a "bookmark" so you don't need to go through ~80 pages of comments.
We're pushing our contacts to get this moving forward too, but our abilities are limited.
The software is clearly doing something wrong. When it initially runs, it detects that the AMD firmware is present and that it is configured to flash a new AMD firmware, but then.flashed the Intel version, rechecks, sees a mismatch and won’t continue the reflash. I will upload the log when I get home.

So, how did I fix this? I went onto the Z890 webpage, installed the Z890 recovery tool but copied over the AMD firmware and data file to the Z890 folder and renamed the files to Intel version. Ran the Z890 tool, which saw a match, it then flashed the renamed AMD firmware and data back into the EZ-bridge, but on recheck saw the mismatch and refused the rest of the procedure. I then went back to the AMD software, skipped the recovery process and just did the firmware update, and got the EZ-bridge up to date with the correct AMD firmware.

The debug code and the CPU and ChipA temps are working again, but the main screen is still down.

I’m starting RMA #2 for just the EZ bridge.
That is so weird. The Z890 and the X870E flash tools have different files. The .exe is the same but the .bin files are different.

Why is it weird or let alone so weird? They are likely same devices but they need to interact with two different motherboard and chipsets, so they have different firmwares. Makes perfect sense.
This was a response to @waltersw156502d9 who somehow got the Intel firmware onto his AMD board, despite the downloads being different files.
It makes sense to me but clearly not to you...

Well, I put in the RMA request and was about to pack up everything for the 2nd RMA when I needed to get something off the system, so I plugged in the essentials (cheap air cooler, one stick of ram, the graphics cards, keyboard and mouse into USB bot no other USB (e.g., no front panel USB connectors, no RGB). This was after the board had been completely disconnected overnight (>12 hours with no cables from the power supply plugged into it). Booted it up, same issues (showing debug code and then cpu & ChipA temps, but nothing on the main screen. Happened to load MSI center because i saw the updated A72 bios and thought I should update before breaking down the system again for the 2nd RMA, on the off chance I checked Mystic Lights and it was turned off. I’ve tried toggling it before but it had no effect, but this time I turned it on… and the main display came on.

I don’t know if it’s working now because it’s a stripped down system with minimal USB devices and no aRGB or RGB plugged, but it’s definitely working. I will be real-attaching the remaining USB, RGB and additional system fans to see if the problem reverts back. It would still suck if adding in other USB, RGB and/or case fans causes this problem, but it will be interesting to see. I’ll post another update in a week.
