Fresh out of the box, unit boots up, MSI splash screen appears. then white circle spinning, then no signal.
My FW doesn't meet the requirements for the DGX OS update posted on web site.
How do I fix this ?

Based on the behavior described, we recommend performing a clean installation and updating the system using the latest image:
  1. 1. Download and install the latest OS image from MSI IPC website as below:
  2. https://ipc.msi.com/product_download/Industrial-Computer-Box-PC/AI-Supercomputer/EdgeXpert-MS-C931
  3. 2. During the initial boot, complete the OOBE process.
Ensure the system is connected to the network, as required updates will be applied automatically.
  4. 3. After entering the OS, navigate to the Dashboard and execute all pending updates.
Continue until no further updates are available.
This approach typically resolves issues related to outdated factory images.
If the issue persists, please provide firmware version details and system logs for further analysis.

When I follow the instructions for the link you provided, it never gets to step 10 - Initial Configuration. I install DGX OS 7.4.0, it spends ~15 minutes installing, then reboots to an MSI splash screen, then no signal.

Based on information, the issue appears to be related to HDMI display output not functioning properly after entering the OS environment.

To proceed, please try the following:
  1. * Install DGX OS via Remote Mode
Please follow the user manual to perform the OS installation in remote mode. After the OS installation is completed, proceed with the firmware (FW) update.
  2. * Alternative display output for verification
Please try using a Type-C monitor, or a Type-C to HDMI dongle, to check if display output works properly during installation.
Please help evaluate the above methods and proceed with the OS installation accordingly.
Let us know your results, and we will continue to assist.
