Ethernet Port

I got a brand new MSI B55M Prop VHD Wifi Motherboard, everything worked except the ethernet port. I ensured the ethernet port was enabled in the BIOS but I always got a message that said "Ethernet Cable UnPluged". Has anyone else seen this? If it is not an easy fix I will have to return it

Try this first. Unplug the PC from the mains and hold down the power button for 30s. Then plug the PC back onto the mains and start the PC. Does that make a difference?

Try different ethernet cables. Better to have CAT-6 cables (support 10G LAN) although they might be overkill for the onboard 1G LAN.
