Hi guys,

Just looking for any additional cooling methods I could use for this gaming laptop? Whether it be cooling a cooling pad (lol), new thermal paste, etc.. I'm interested to know what has helped in similar msi gaming laptops.

Thanks!
(First post also so feel free to move if I have posted in the wrong section)

Do you also have an overheating problem on the CPU?
How is the temp under loading?

I wouldn't say heating problem, cpu is about 91 c while gaming. I would think it would benefit from better cooling methods. Also kind of wish to avoid using the cooler booster as its quite loud with any extra benefits..

Do you have any performance-related issues?
I think 91 degrees while gaming is pretty good. No need to worry about the temp.

My CPU hits 95-100 despite having repasted thrice, and having applied an undervolt of -0.144. My CPU is i7-9750H and Model is GE65 Raider 9SE.
I think your best would be undervolting, then repasting. However, a guy told me to replace the thermal pads with thinner ones. I'm gonna try that.
Check for any throttling. If there is, you need to solve the issue to exploit the full potential of the CPU

It's a gaming laptop running at 91 c I'm sure it's throttling haha. Let me know how the thermal pads go
I'm also an ex-desktop guy and have never needed to under volt, but I understand why it can be effective. Should I try that? If so, what program etc (or is it in the bios)

Did performance drop when it's throttling?
If yes, you can try to set the shift mode to Sport or Comfort in Dragon Center.
