Extra pcie cable for MSI MAG A750GL

I've got a Gigabyte Radeon RX 9070 XT which I want to hook up to my MSI MAG A750GL. The latter came with 1 PCIE-cable and 1 splitter PCIE-cable, but the RX 9070 XT needs 3 separate pcie-cables. I have been looking to find an extra one, but it seems impossible to find a compatible one. Where can I get one, preferably in Europe?

Did comment a while back these PSU were going to bite them in the Bum
According to MSI insider video, they plan to supply you with a 12v 6x6 to two 6x2 upon request
You will need to supply serial number and perhaps Invoice as proof of purchase.

The latter came with 1 PCIE-cable and 1 splitter PCIE-cable, but the RX 9070 XT needs 3 separate pcie-cables.

The AMD RX 9070XT is a 300-watt GPU, so it only really needs 2 8-pin (6x2) Connectors it should run without problems if you use the Pigy back connector, as it does not have to heavy a power draw

Hi Alan, thank you so much for your answers. Are you sure it should run with problems though? The reason why I started investigating this is because the system ran without problems, but then it crashed when under heavy load (Silent Hill 2 on Ultra high settings) and the BIOS got wiped. This (using the splitter on a heavy 3 connector GPU) was the only thing I really found that could've caused the crash. But I'm definitely not an expert.

How long has it been since you replaced the battery?
If it's been a while, it's a good idea to replace the battery.
If it's been 2-3 years, it's a good idea to replace it.
If it hasn't been long since you replaced the battery,
you can use it as is.
If the BIOS has initialized, it may be a BIOS storage problem, so I think it's a good idea to update the BIOS again.

If the BIOS has initialized due to overheating,
it may be automatically initialized if it's not a normal BIOS setting value.
If it's overheating, you can lower the voltage or something.
The normal temperature is 70-75 degrees.
If it reaches 80 degrees, you can reapply thermal grease.
If the BIOS initialization symptom continues,
it's a good idea to set it to a safe setting value.

I checked with my MSI Source, and they agree you only need the two cables you have for a GPU of that power draw.


The crash may have more to do with the PSU only just being big enough.
And you may need a New CMOS battery as a system crash that sounds like it was caused by the Over Load protection circuit built into the PSU by turning off the PSU to prevent damage. Should not cause a CMOS Reset Unlees the Battery is flat

On a heavy load with your system, the GPU will use about 350 watts, and the rest of the system at times will hit between 200 watt to 300 watt watts, depending on the CPU

Now the PSU will handle that, but it may get hit with Transient spikes where the GPU will use a lot more power for a very brief time, with a 300 watt GPU your spikes may hit over 500 watts at times under heavy loads like when the Game goes from a loading screen to gameplay.
