Hi!
I have this configuration :
MSI B650 EDGE WIFI
RYZEN 5 7600X
G SKILL 6000M HZ CL 30
CORSAIR 850E GOLD
I am facing the problem mentioned in the title, the red and yellow LEDs on the processor and the ram memory and the computer does not enter the bios.
I tried: I originally had a b650 tomahawk (with the same problem) which I returned, a new ram module, clear CMOS, q flash bios, changed and tried with one ram module in each slot, etc. Nothing works and I think it could be the faulty processor because it's the only one I couldn't test.
From what I noticed on reddit and the MSI forum, there are a lot of people with the same problem as me and many of them have not found a solution to their problem. Does anyone have an idea what it could be?

I'm having the same problem too, I can't enter bios. RAM and CPU light are constantly burning. But in my problem, there is a problem with a single ram. (I changed it with a new one, I had the same problem again.)

I guess we use the same ram as you.

Am si eu aceeasi problema, nu pot intra in bios. RAM și lumina procesorului ard constant. Dar în problema mea, există o problemă cu un singur ram. (L-am schimbat cu unul nou, am avut din nou aceeași problemă.)

Presupun că folosim același berbec ca și tine.
I use second tine a kingstone , same result.

With DDR5, it can take a surprisingly large amount of force to properly insert the module into the slot, see here, here, and here. So make sure the RAM module is all the way in the slot. Put it in by pressing in the middle first, then press hard on the bottom end, then hard on the top end of the module.

Did you happen to solve this, Bogdan? I'm having the same problem but unfortunately the only responses I got were from people who can't read.

I did RMA both the board and CPU, and the vendor found no faults, so I can only think the RAM is to blame in some way.

Did you ever figure this out? I have same problem. New build and no display.
mobo: Pro-B650-s WiFi
CPU: Ryzen 7700x
G Skill trident ddr5 Ram

I'm afraid for me it was a case of replacing the RAM.

I RMA'd the mobo and CPU, Scan.co.uk checked them out for me and said it was fine, returning both to me. On a whim I replaced the RAM on the idea that if that's not it, I'll just refund them, and that solved the probem. I've no idea what caused the issues and I didn't have another board to test to see if the RAM was dead or not. What I can say was that the setup was completely fine and untouched when all of a sudden it died.

I can only speculate that perhaps this is some weird, rare, issue between our Mobo and G-Skill RAM, but I've got no evidence to suggest what it could have been in particular.

Either way the setup has, touch wood, been totally fine. It does take a *long* time to boot though, sitting with the CPU/RAM warning LEDs on for an unsettlingly long time when cold booting. However when looking into my issue, I came across the long boot times being a problem seemingly across this set of MSI boards in various forums including this one.

Yes, for the first memory training on AM5, just do nothing for ten minutes. It can take five minutes easily. If you are impatient and reboot early, it will never finish the initial memory training. This has thrown some people off before, replacing parts unnecessarily.

Hi,
Board - MSI a620m Pro
CPU - Ryzen 5 8500G
Ram - Corsair Dominsator 5200mhz

Put board together this morning only to be greeted by solid red and yellow on the EZ Debug.
RAM properly put in, middle, bottom and then top, all cables checked. Tried with one stick on each slot singularly.
No display output to monitor.
Spoke with Ebuyer, they didn't seem surprised TBH, so new one on way for Tuesday and the old one getting picked up Monday.

Called MSI. I have B650 Gaming Plus WIFI. I was using GSkil ram and he told me wasn’t compatible. I reorder Kingston with is on website list for approved ram. I waiting for it to be delivered. I hope this is the fix. I’ll let you know when I install.

Please open a new thread, list all your components, what the problem is, and what you have tried so far.

Some people with MSI AM5 boards get the CPU+DRAM LEDs problem, this is a pretty common issue by now, i believe it's some kind of problem with the AM5 boards from MSI, it happens too often. People use good components and have no bent socket pins.

Then you have others who may just get one of the LEDs like the DRAM LED, this is then some other cause. It's rarely that the RAM is incompatible. All RAM, even if it's not on MSI's QVL, should be compatible in principle. When it's not on the QVL, it doesn't mean it didn't pass their tests, it means they didn't test it yet. So whenever i hear "the RAM is not compatible", they don't know what they are talking about. Sometimes this can happen when you ask MSI service, they have some more and some less knowledgeable people there.

Sure, it can be that one RAM kit runs better than another, but the board showing the DRAM LED just because of a certain RAM kit, this is unlikely. Usually the worst that would happen is that it doesn't want to run at XMP/EXPO, but you should still be able to boot to BIOS with it. Again, it's important to wait long enough on the first boot, and also fully insert the RAM into the slot, press hard onto it on both ends.
