The print says it all. I just got my two products registered and confirmed. I was going to apply both for the promotion now that they are confirmed, but I can't because the dates were a lie....
I am really disappointed. This is just wrong.

Same with the Anno117 promotion. Just false advertisement that is luring customers and then way before the period ends you are not eligible anymore. Despite the fact you are on of the first to get the items. Really lowballing their customer. Had I known this I would have gone with one of their competitors for said product.

They usually have set number of keys available per region, and once redeemed the promotion ends. I am pretty sure they "reserve the right to end early" in terms&conditions.
I had no problems redeeming few promotions myself, though I don't decide to buy a product based on a promotion.

I'm honestly not super surprised. I didn't buy your hardware because of this promo, it'd only be $30 for me, but this is a really bad look @msi. You didn't even make it halfway thru the announced promo period before running out of Steam code allocation? You also required us to wait 14days after the purchase date. I could only submit for redemption starting yesterday with that requirement.

This is not doing right by your customers. I'm considering returning these purchases just on principle and go with your competition. I hope a couple big name influencers pick up on this.

I requested the reward redemption on November 28th, and today, December 10th, I was informed that my product is not qualified and that the event has ended.
However, I purchased a valid product — the 'MAG B850 TOMAHAWK MAX WIFI'.
It is unacceptable that it took more than 10 days for you to provide an excuse like this. I expect this issue to be resolved properly.

I specifically chose the MSI X870E Tomahawk since I heard great things about this model and it came with the $30 steam code.
Then you guys pull the promotion with 49 days left to go? That is insane.
It's borderline a scam.

When I bought my motherboard on black friday I had a hunch this was going to happen after reading the T&C. The fact they didn't show how many codes were left, and required 14 days of time after purchasing to redeem it screamed shady. Especially since there's more than 6 weeks left in the promotion, it felt 'safe' but what's to stop them from running this kind of thing with a 100$ budget going forward?

Seems like a really underhanded way to make a quick buck at the cost of some people having a really bad experience with them.

The mobo I bought is in a setup and it's working great, and I may have lost out on $75 at the end of their scam here but they basically made it so I will never purchase their products again.

I have purchased MPG X870E EDGE TI WIFI and I feel deceived and scammed as well.

Bought a 5080 from amazon.fr (it was sold by amazon, not by some third party) and it had a promo on the page, with a 60 euro steam wallet code, if registered till 15th of december (i remember this very clearly, because i was worried my card won't arrive in time; bought it on the 5th, received it today, the 11th).

Now the promo page is gone and registering my card didn't do anything. This is NOT ok! It didn't say anything about being limited keys, and even if they were, it should not be a gamble! Normally, you see the promo, you buy the card, you receive the promo. Simple. If the keys are exhausted, the promo page shouldn't be up a second more. And it was up days after i bought it (because i've checked for the registering deadline date).

Should i open a support ticket to MSI or Amazon (because it was on their page, afterall)? Problem is i don't have any proof the promo was even on at the time of buying...

This is very lame for a big company like MSI (or amazon).

When buying any piece of hardware, if there is a promo involved always assume that the giveaway item is limited. Don't use the fact that there is a promo advertised be the reason you buy something, buy it because you want or need it, the promo if it works will just by an extra. ALWAYS read the whole terms and conditions, I bet they say the item being given away will be limited and they have the right to end it at any time.

This was false advertising and you know it. And last time i bought something similar, if there was a promotion included, there was a cardboard card included in the box, with a code that had an expiration time. And that was fair. Not some "gamble" like this, when you don't know if buying the item will get you the promo or not. It was advertised on the amazon's page, when i bought it. It said any activations were to be made till 15th of december, nothing else that i could see.

And if 60 euros were not a deciding factor for you, don't assume it's not for others. There are loads of good cards out there, and there are all expensive (read overpriced, esp. now), every bit counts (every discount, every promo... they add up). If this was not the case, MSI and others wouldn't bother with these "promos" in the first place.

Found this in the Tems and Conditions of a different promo, would be willing to bet it is in all of them:

MSI retains the right to make adjustments of these terms without prior notice subject to any directions from a regulatory authority.

MSI was still actively pushing this promo on reseller sites to prospective customers, well after they must had known they were going to have to shut down the promo early due to lack of being able to honor further redemptions.

Yeah, the legalese is there in the T&C for the promotion, and a lot of folks are SOL. It doesn't change the fact this is such a shady and scummy business practice.

They never know if something will sell better or not due to a promotion.
One game I redeemed they still had over 100 keys available 1 day before the promotion ended. IIRC it was stalker 2. Number of keys also seem to depend on the region.
So you can think what you want, but that's how promotions everywhere work. Gone are the days where retailer would throw in a card with a game key.
Feel free to return these products, your decision doesn't impact anyone on the forum. And you can't blame MSI that retailers hasn't updated /their/ product page. But hey, you decided to buy a product based on a promotion rather than quality of the product in the first place 🙃

======================
In either case, you are /not/ contacting MSI directly here. So "your" and "you" are not directed at anyone here.
>>How to contact MSI.<<

you decided to buy a product based on a promotion rather than quality of the product in the first place -> It's like you're not confident in the product, so you're going to mislead consumers by promoting it.

Thank you to everyone who joined our recent event! We were truly overwhelmed by your enthusiasm, and due to the high participation rate, all Steam codes were redeemed earlier than expected. To show our appreciation for your support and the continued love for MSI products, we are pleased to announce that we have released one final batch of Steam codes. Customers who purchased eligible products on or before December 10, 2025 will be able to redeem while supplies last.
Quantities are limited, so please complete your redemption as soon as possible.

Just about every Prom is the same Till the stock runs out.
Sometimes this happens early, other times they dont run out of stock
Learn to read it is always in the TOC\
