I kind of have the same problem as ibrahim.q8 I can run games on 300 fps without problems but after a while out of nowhere the fps drops down to an average of 10 (depends on the game I’m playing (yes it happens to all the games that I play)) and also the fan boost shoots on and can’t be turned off. To get my fps back (and have a normal fan speed) I need to restart my pc and everything works fine after, until it does it again after 30-45 min... I stress tested my gpu (uses 99% of the gpu while my game uses way less) to see if it would happen again but it didn’t, and his temperature was at 80 degrees. I did notice my cpu was at 95 degrees. I did a factory reset yesterday to see if it would fix this but it didn’t. If you know what may cause this and how I can fix it please let me know!

Which model? what is your power button color when the fps drops to 10?
Update the latest bios, ec firmware, and reinstall graphics drivers with DDU tool.

The model is the GS 66 stealth 10SFS and I haven’t looked what color the power button when having 10 fps has, could you please explain me how that works? And I think the bios and firmware is the same version as when I bought it bcs I did a factory set? So you think it’s okay to update those? Because I heard that you best avoid thosr updates for reliability issues. And what exactly is “DDU tool”?

if the power button lights white, or blue which means the laptop is running in iGPU, and if the power button is orange or red, dGPU is activated.
Factory reset won't roll back the bios firmware version. Sometimes MSI puts a patch in BIOS and EC firmware, you can check the release note to confirm if there is any patch that is related to power settings or performance improvement.
DDU is the tool to fresh install graphics drivers. https://www.guru3d.com/files-details/display-driver-uninstaller-download.html
If the problem still remain after fresh install graphics drivers, and the power button is orange while gaming, export the hwinfo log while gaming and share it with us.
