So happy to finally be able to say I've finished this game. I played on the hardest survival setting and It was a long 60 hours of enjoyment mixed with way too much, unnecessary frustration. This could have been an amazing game but it's still got that UBISOFT janky-ness that rears it's head every 30 mins or so. To keep it brief:

+ The graphics and sound are impressive. A very enjoyable world to experience.
+ The combat is great due to the new restrictions. Using a bow and arrow and perfecting your aim is really rewarding.
+ Great value - Plenty to do and a captivating world to get lost in.

- The AI is very good one minute then laughable the next. Buddy AI is just a joke. Enjoy getting trapped in an area due to your buddy blocking the entrance? Plenty of that!! Enemies can be impossible to it as they Michael Jackson all over the place. Good luck perfecting those long distance arrows!!
- Day night cycle is like someone switching a switch - One minute it's dark and then...boom, morning!!
- Navigating the terrain is just unbelievably tricky at times. It needed Dying Light's movement and nearly got there...just too many slopes to slip down when you should be able to climb.

If you love Far Cry due to nostalgia then this is more of the same with enough changes to make it feel worth while.
