Being of Nigerian Descent (meaning that my parents are Nigerian), I have been a FIFA and football fan for many years. I have played every iteration of Fifa since 1998 (on the Nintendo 64). Over the years, EA sports has been further developing the game into the masterpiece that it is today. As young men, we aspire to always become the footballing legend that we see in these FIFA games, but most of us unfortunately never get the opportunity to play competitive professional football (soccer) on the field.

In my brief review today, I will be discussing FIFA 16 and possible prospects with the system. The game in itself isn't demanding for an MSi Gaming notebook (meaning that if you have an MSi gaming laptop chances are you will be able to play the game at the highest settings possible without a possible flinch in graphics.

As you can see, the graphical options are quite limited. You can either choose between Low and High for Rendering quality and off, 2x, or 4x respectively for Anti-aliasing. I have everything set at maximum settings. Despite the warning from EA about (higher anti-aliasing may decrease my FPS), I'm not worried because I have a behemoth of a machine (The MSi GT80 Titan Broadwell 980M SLI).

Playing the demo with my trusty and sturdy Xbox 360 controller, I feel as if I'm playing on a console. The appearance of the terrain and the crowd are a bit disappointing at highest settings. It seems a bit cartoonish despite the graphics being on the highest settings possible.  The Fault is mainly with EA as the graphics have not drastically improved since its 2014 iteration.

Game play and sound are lackluster to say the least. My device was easily and comfortably able to maintain framerates in the hundreds. The rumbling and roaring sound of the crowd during a Real Madrid vs. Barcelona match can be heard felt thanks to the powerful built-in Dynaudio Sound system. Low frequencies such as crowd cheering and stamping of feet can be felt due to the built-in subwoofer. Below, I have attached a video of some of the in-game gameplay.  Gameplay was recorded with nVidia's built-in Shadowplay utility.

So what are the requirements for playing the game? Well it shouldn't be a concern for those of us with MSi Gaming laptops of any trime (e.g. GE62, GT72, GT80. GS70, etc.). However, here are the requirements:

Taken from: https://help.ea.com/en/article/fifa-16-pc-system-requirements/

OS: Windows 7/8/8.1 - 64-Bit
CPU: Intel Core i3-2100 @ 3.1GHz (or AMD Phenom 7950 Quad-Core, AMD Athlon II X4 620 equivalent)
RAM: 4GB
Hard Drive Space Required: 15.0 GB
Minimum Supported Video Cards: ATI Radeon HD 5770, NVIDIA GTX 650
DirectX: 11.0
Single System Multiplayer: 2-4 players and 1 keyboard on a PC
Input: Keyboard, Mouse, Dual Analogue gamepad, VOIP Headset

I look forward to playing this game once it comes out. It seems like another good year for FIFA :)

It doesn't seem like I'm receiving any credit for my reviews on games. Is there any particular reason as to why I am not?

Very good review!! The game ran smoothly on the GT80 Titan SLI, awesome!!
Well in all honesty, I have not seen a game that DOES NOT run smoothly on the GT80 Titan SLI (980M) on the highest settings.

It takes a few days/weeks for the credits to reflect in our account. The articles first get reviewed and once they find that it is genuine we get credited.

But there is one thing that I am wondering...does FIFA 16 has the AA feature? Because I can still see some aliasing in the gameplay video.

Thanks man, well it is a demo. I think they will probably have more options at the official release of Fifa 16.
