When using firmware update tool v1.34 to update monitor scalar firmware, the tool gives "Scaler Type not Equal" message and refuses to update firmware.
Find your current firmware version from OSD panel.
I.e.
FW.010 --> FW.020
FW.010 --> FW.110, FW.220 etc.
Flashing to the incorrect firmware can potentially result in panel brick or unexpected problem.
Once you confirm you've downloaded the right scalar firmware, download firmware update tool v1.29 from below link,
>> Firmware Update Tool v1.29 <<
and use it to update to the latest firmware.
Why such limitation exists with the new firmware update v1.34?
Firmware update tool v1.34 added feature to prevent incorrect firmware from being flashed to the monitor.
However, it only works from certain version of firmware, if current firmware is too old, it will pop "Scaler Type not Equal" message.
Workaround:
!!!Please be very careful with the procedure!!!
Before you update the firmware, make sure the first digit of target firmware is the same number as your current firmware version.Find your current firmware version from OSD panel.
