E0? E3? Those are unknown to me
Can you tell full BIOS ID of those?

You mean dual BIOS?

I'm confused what is E0 , E3 and what you call "slot. Can you clarify better?
Dual slot == dual BIOS, with a switch to select one or the other.

As for E3 versus E0 - the MSI X570 GODLIKE UEFI fw versions come in major version like follows: 7C34v1E. The 1E is the designation for the major revision, with a following number (1,2,3, etc.) for Beta and 0 for the final release.

Currently, for example, there is a new 7C34v1F1 (Beta version), but the last stable release is 7C34v1E, which, when extracted, has a name E7C34AMS.1E0.

The actual file names are as in my screenshot:

01.png

When I sent a message to MSI support, they automatically generated an RMA for the board, but want 15-30 days turnaround, and I don't have a backup system and cannot afford the downtime right now. So, I was hoping that your utility might offer some recourse to allow me to get both 'BIOS' working correctly.

The worst part is that I used the latest MSI Center 1.0.24 to download and apply the E7C34AMS.1E0 fw update over E7C34AMS.1E3, which rebooted the machine and ran the M-Flash utility as it is supposed to - but it froze for well over 3 hours, as mentioned, and I had no recourse but to reboot (I had some really bad thunderstorms moving into the area and I decided to take my chances with the UEFI fw update being incomplete versus leaving my computer on during the storms).

I hope that helps explain what I mean. If I need to provide more info, please let me know and I will.

You can use the tool in this topic to cross-flash and re-flash to correct BIOS if that's what you mean,

How is that on h110 mobo when using afudos there is an error when /me command is issued ?

It says somthing like "this bios does not support entire me flashing"

I have no problems flashing me region as well as bios one using m-flash or FPT tool or even Flashrom under linux but afudos always fails with me region. Why is that?

This tool is a lifesaver for me and it works on MSI Z370 Gaming M5 (7B58) like a charm. Did manage to flash my mobo with latest beta bios (7B58v1B2). The genuine M-flash tool stops working and don't know why. Just a black screen after reboot and so on. Stupid boot loop black screen restart crap thing... only Cmos reset helped but no flash then. This little software did the trick an reminded me the times when the easiest, best and simplest way that always works was the DOS method :).

Big thanks!

Hi there,
I have a Medion PC with an MSI z490 gaming edge wifi mainboard (MS-7C79 ver.1.1) with an OEM firmware from Medion (E7C79W0X.205) can I replace this version with the UEFI v1.16 tool to the retail version? The new BIOS version supports Win11 according to the homepage. (Version E7C79IMS.1A0) Thank you very much !!

If you want to cross-flash at own risk, yes you can. Else check with your OEM vendor for updates.

If you plan to use the tool for cross-flashing,
for this particular case to match the ME-FW version,
do a step update as follows:
1st Update with the forum flasher tool to BIOS version 1.3:

and when its done, do a 2nd flashing this time with M-Flash to the latest version 1.A:

Hello Svet!

Thank you for your reply! Can I also use the version https://download.msi.com/bos_exe/mb/7C79v16.zip with the MSI UEFI Flashtool V1.16? I have installed an 11th Gen Intel Processor (11900KF). My concerns are that afterwards with version 1.3 the CPU is no longer recognized. I will give my OEM vendor another chance to make improvements. But if that doesn't help, then I have to install this retail bios myself! Is the MAC address WLAN + LAN saved on another chip? Best regards Mario

@Svet

Can you please help me what to do? I have the same problem as Mario, above here.
I have a pre installed mpg z490 gaming edge wifi. But im missing a lot of features on this MB. So I want It to flash like its an normal board with the original MSI bios software.

If I want to update the bios like the normal way, the files wont show up, wich is a common problem because of the pre installed bios/medion software.
Thanks in advance

You can flash/cross-flash to desired BIOS [at own risk]
just make sure the new BIOS will support your hardware.

Alright thanks @Svet

So from (z490 gaming edge wifi) current bios E7C79W0X.205 to newer version 7C79v18 (for z490 gaming edge wifi), should be possible with the flashtool v1.16? ''yes at my own risk.''
z490 bios driver
or should i first cross flash to v13? (as you mentioned above to supermario), and from there on to the newer ones? The latest one, version 1A is not relevant for me, because i dont use win11.

Check if your CPU used will be supported by that new BIOS.

Thanks for you fast reply @Svet! Really appreciate that!

according to this page from MSI, my i9 11900K is supported from version 7C79v16. That means that it minimal requires this version, and the later ones are also working (i.e v18) i guess?

So do i need to perform a crossflash to v16 first, and after that a normal flash to V18?
