Next reboot computer,
and ensure in BIOS Setup:
UEFI Boot is allowed,
and Secure Boot disabled.

After exit from BIOS Setup while computer is booting:
You can press F11 during BIOS post/logo screen, then when BBS popup after a while,
choose the prepared USB key with UEFI in front as name.
i.e: choose to boot from:
UEFI USB your drive

then wait, and you will see the BIOS version shown that is going to be flashed.
and you can press a key to proceed with flashing.
If you don't want to proceed with flashing,
you can press "q" to abort at that point.

when flashing starts,
wait patiently to finish,
ensure successfully message on the screen then reboot or power off the computer.

Optional feature: [Patch AMD BIOS for CP_Flash]
This will allow cross-platform flashing to 32MB BIOS from 16MB BIOS for boards with 256Mbit BIOS chip.
The tool will auto detect if the BIOS support such feature and then will Enable that option.
[in a case when board was flashed to the wrong BIOS to help, restore correct BIOS]

Or use special version for Blind Flashing only:
(It's useful when need to flash BIOS without display [but the PC can still boot and works fine] and performs auto flashing)
For Blind Flashing only: Forum UEFI Shell Flash tool [V1.32]

Short instructions for for Blind Flashing:
[prepare the USB key for flashing,[use the same steps to prepare it as above] then shutdown the PC,
and disconnect temporary any other storages except that USB key that will be used for flashing]
Then turn on PC and wait auto flashing to start and finish automatically.
[when blind flashing is complete the PC will auto shutdown,
then you can remove the USB key and reconnect the rest of your storages and turn it on]

Note1: Be sure to place only one BIOS file on the USB key at the time, before proceed with flashing.
Note2: Due BIOS flashing nature, (which consider every flashing as potential dangerous)
Flash and use at own risk as usual.

Note3: You can use it to downgrade the BIOS too.
Note4: You can cross-platform flash back to correct BIOS 32MB bios. (if the board been flashed to the wrong BIOS by mistake)

EDIT: A video how to use guide made by user efmled:

You can borrow some other memory try to isolate the issue.
One or more memory stick(s) could be defective. Try boot with 1 memory stick only in recommended DIMM slot.
[test with each one of them alone]
Or could be bented pins on the socket or too much pressure from the heatsink and not to be the memory.

In anyways better open new own topic for troubleshooting the issue.
All of those methods have been tried, the only recourse is to blind flash the board. But in the thirty years of building I have never attempted a blind flash of the BIOS.

Thanks for the reply, I have tried that file. Unfortunately, it's the same, USB stick flashes for a second or so, motherboard restarts, then 3 white flashes and then solid white no USB stick activity. The other white led on motherboard stays solid.

B450-A PRO MAX thinks its a B450M-A PRO MAX now. So it will only flash B450M-A PRO MAX bios. If only I could force the correct B450-A PRO MAX bios to flash.

Yes, that's probably the case. And sadly the board won't boot with this wrong BIOS.

Does anybody know what type of flash chip is on the B450 A PRO MAX? If possible, I would buy a programmer to flash it.

See here how to find and check it:

Make sure MSI.ROM is the file, and USB key is placed in flash back mainboard USB port.
Also try a different USB key and it's recommend to format the USB key with Rufus tool 1st. [some USB key structure may not work with flash back button unless are formatted properly]

then 3 white flashes and then solid white no USB stick activity.

Another possibility is that, BIOS chip is already flashed to the same contents and because of this does nothing.
[But can't boot since it's the wrong BIOS installed]

I assume you already tried the correct BIOS too?:
with the flash back button.

Hello, please help me out here I've been dealing with this for hours to no avail.

I just updated my Windows to 11 yesterday and now Valorant is requiring Secure Boot to be enabled. After going into my BIOS and enabling Secure Boot, I get a black screen on startup and can't move past it. I can still get into my BIOS however, disable Secure Boot, and boot up as normal. I noticed that my BIOS hasn't been updated since 2020, so I am trying to flash it with the newest update from here, but when I select the BIOS file during the flash, I get a popup message that states its not an MSI driver and the BIOS will not be updated. I did some research into this and it seems that pre-built computers typically have this issue, but I built this computer myself and still have the original box my MOBO came in. I decided to try using the UEFI Flash Tool Installer and when I select the MSI BIOS file I just receive an error #2129 "Source files are missing! Extract all archive files to some folder, then try again.". I downloaded the last 2 zipfiles with the BIOS updates and extracted them to my computer, and I used these extracted files when loading MSI BIOS file in UEFI Flash Tool Installer and having the same errors.

All of this just to enable secure boot and TPM 2.0 so I can play Valorant :(

Please help, I will be grateful and look forward to anyone's reply!

Cheers,
Taysudo

Taysudo, please make a photo or screenshot (press F12, save to a FAT32 drive, convert to PNG for size and upload/link here) of your main BIOS screen, this will give some valuable information.

How did you extracted the files? Did you preserve the directory structure as is?
Can you show them in the folder?
Have you tried to run the tool directly from the archive file?

I noticed that my BIOS hasn't been updated since 2020, so I am trying to flash it with the newest update from here,

This one right? => https://download.msi.com/bos_exe/mb/7C75v2E.zip

I just used the windows file explorer "extract all" option. In the bios, as well as in the tool, I then just selected the file that it saved to via my SSD, I didn't use a USB stick. However, I do have the BIOS update saved to a USB stick, which I tried to use to flash the BIOS, but it was not detecting my USB, so I then just found the file in the directory of my SSD.
Before Extract
After Extract
Do I need to format the USB stick in order for my BIOS to detect it and then try to flash it from there?

And yes, the link you provided is the update I have been trying to use.

It's .rar file and I don't see build in explorer option to extract it.
Use
or https://www.7-zip.org/
to extract it

I mean for the tool files.

I mean for the tool files.
I just used 7-zip to extract the tool, which I already had, but I must have ran the tool from the zipped file, because once I extracted it via 7-zip, everything ran as normal, and I flashed and updated the BIOS. I now have secure boot and TPM 2.0 enabled and can run Valorant.

Thank you a ton for the help, y'all are godsent!

Cheers,
Taysudo

I've got a similar question like the above from ts.owen. I have an OEM MSI Z490A-PRO from a prebuilt MSI Aegis RS 10TE-072US gaming computer.
I could never successfully flash the official OEM bios provided here: https://us.msi.com/Desktop/Aegis-RS-10th-GeForce-RTX-30-Series/support?sku_id=83405
However I did successfully flash from a Corsair provided (Z490-A Pro OEM BIOS) provided here: https://www.corsair.com/us/en/Categ...eries-Gaming-PC/p/CS-9050015-NA#tab-downloads
I'm kind of annoyed that some BIOS features are greyed out/disabled like the wake on USB feature. Ideally I want to either flash back to the MSI OEM bios or forward to the MSI Retail bios. When I try the tool and the retail bios I get the error shown here: 1e - Error: Secure Flash function is not supported on this file.

Think you already have latest one installed, E7C75IZ1.2A3 is older than your current one.
