Having an issue with latest version 1.28j. My motherboard is MSI X570 Gaming Pro Carbon WIFI. The tool says none of the bios for this motherboard are bios files. The specified file is everything else but not a valid bios file. Please try again and select a valid bios file. I have tried this with method one and get told to use method 2. I've used multiple versions of the tool in the past and I've never run into this issue before. These are the bios versions I've tried both give the error. 7B93v176(Beta version)   7B93v16
Could someone please try this with these bios versions and let me know their findings. Thank You

The tool do not support those generations mainboards,
you should use M-Flash instead.

Yes, its the same thing.
Yes existing hot links are dead, because of forum changed to a different core where new naming link rules are used.

Thanks a lot. I downloaded a bios and it says vAB, and checked that older version has vA and vB, whats the difference?
Does updating vAB means i just have to flash it in one BIOS and both will be updated? or i have to flash it each BIOS(switch)?

z77a GD65, im trying to update both bios (A and B) to latest version of it.

A boots every after 4th boot.
B boots like 1 out 50.
But once booted, all works fine, no bsod or whatsoever, til i turn off.

CMOS batter is new and checked ram, 100% healthy.

Got it.
If you planning flashing, [flash 1 of the BIOS chip at the time, not both one after another, to make sure that you will have at least 1 working BIOS chip]
you can flash to the latest one .AC3: (by proper way to include ME flashing, by following the instructions here):

I don't know if the new BIOS can helps with your issue
if you are looking for troubleshooting, best open new own topic in proper forum area.

I checked some with same issue, they updated their BIOS and works.
Anyways, my bios isnt at its latest version so i think, no harm updating the bios ( i guess?) even if its the cause or not.

So ill flash this .AC3 instead of this : https://download.msi.com/bos_exe/mb/7751vAB.zip
Correct?

Thanks a lot!!

Successfully flashed BIOS 1, problem gone (seems), tested it out restarting, unplugging it for some hours and turning it on, unplugging it for a day an turning it on, all scenarios one power on and works, no boot loops.

Successfully flashed BIOS 2, cpu fan spins, and boot code just keeps changing.
No post on monitor, not powering off, just boot code loop.

Should i try flashing old bios in BIOS 2?
Is it possible to flash older BIOS with this method?

Thanks a lot btw, 1 bios working is a good result, but i still hope to make both working. :crying: :-)

@wilsonthebus0158702df
if bios 1 is working fine now,
then you can try to reflash the bios 2
if bios 1 works fine with that bios, then the bios 2 should works too.
