America?s Army : Proving Grounds Beta(ID: sidd3009 ).
FREE: This is something that you won?t believe. A free multiplayer game on the lines of Counter Strike, Battlefield, Unreal and Call of Duty!
I am pretty sure that a lot many gamers on MSI have played this game in the past. America?s Army is one of the best FREE First Person Shooter (FPS) online multiplayer game presented to us by Steam. I?ve recently started to play this game on my MSI GE62 2QF Apache Pro-082US Signature Edition Gaming Laptop.
To start playing this game, you need to download the game (the size of this game is a whopping 8.99GB). Steam does a good job in downloading it in the background while we attend to the other stuff.
Once downloaded, we need to tune this game to the highest configuration because the built in configuration of the game under-utilizes our MSI?s.
The graphics of this game are not hyped much. They can be tolerated (please understand: it is a FREE game). The game is pretty simple as there are not a lot many options as such. For example, there are only five types of primary weapons which includes two types of assault rifles (These weapons do have the ability to be switched to the type you?d prefer: Automatic or Single Fire), a sniper rifle, a shotgun and a Lightweight Machine Gun. You also can use a sidearm (usually a pistol) and a frag grenade(chose between fog or flash). Now, all these things are available to everyone who plays the game. Someone who?s on a top rank would have the same weapons as the one who?s just a rookie.
The only thing to show off in this game is the Experience Points (XP) which you gain with simple things like killing or reviving or winning a match.
All in all, this game would be a perfect way to kill some time when bored.
My NB is able to handle the load that it gives(even when set on high settings for everything). The NB is cool enough after playing this for over 45 minutes in a single stretch.

Specifications (taken from Steam):

Graphics look very good, is the gameplay similar to BF4? I will soon post a review of that.

I didn't know this game was still around!  I remember getting a copy of the original from my recruiter when I joined the Army in 2003.  I'll definitely be downloading this tonight.  Thanks!
