I just bought a g4mx440 vtp video-capture card and things go wrong!
When accessing the video capture feature from any video software (adobe premiere, movie maker...) the system simply crashes and restart my computer. Could somebody help me ???
I've tried win 2000,98 and XP and the problem is still there!
I'm thinking about incompatible driver...

System:motherboard= asus a7v333 , athlon xp 1800, 256 mb, SB Live MP3 5.1, LG cd recorder, DVD.

I had the same problem. after 12 hours of loading 1 driver at a time I narrowed it down to NIMO50 pack.

IF you have that loaded. Uninstall it. Restart computer.
Then reinstall it but do not select the VOB Codecs.

i seem to be having the exact same problem. i have a g4mx440 vtp video card with a kt3 ultra motherboard and athlon 1800+ processor. i have loaded the latest vga driver and now i loaded wincoder and winproducer2.0. whenever i click on the media input tab, my computer reboots. i am using the driver with the cd (nvidia wdm video capture (universal) version 1.1.1.0). can anyone tell me exactly how to fix this.please.

Maybe you have conflict with sound card.Check your system resourse(IRQ).If there is too many devices witch share same IRQ change position of sound card (and modem in some cases). Also disable SB 16 emulation in device manager.

Did you install the Nimo drivers per chance?

If you did then most likely you have a conflict.

Uninstall the nimo codecs .
Reboot
Install nimo codecs but unselect the VOB codecs.
Reboot

Should work.

On the other hand.... If you havent installed the Nimo codecs then you have have install your drivers in the wrong order or a wrong driver.

Good luck. I'll check back if you havent' found a solution.
