Hi there.
New to the forums, since I just installed the card this morning.

Several problems I've noticed almost as soon as I turned on the computer with the card installed.

First and I'm not sure if it's a problem or it just doesn't do it with new cards but normally when booting, the first thing I'd see is my Video card, then it goes to check RAM, and the various drives. But it doesn't do that with this card, completely ignores it (although windows seems to detect it fine)

Secondly, my frame rate is less than amazing. It's actually downright pathetic.
In games like Diabo 2 EXP, I'm getting 50-74 FPS
In Counter-Strike getting a fluctuation of 50-60 FPS
(now I know I can do better than that. My old card, GeForce2 64MB Pro got high 90's in Diablo 2, and max 99+ for CS.

Then there's problems with which I think may be the cause of the earlier problems.

Under the MSI Information TAB under Driver Info, I get this.
Display Driver: nv4_disp Version: 6.13.10.3000
Mini-VDD: None Version: <Unavailable>

The Bios Version is 4.25.00.22.37. AGP is set to 4X
Are those 2 things supposed to be none and unavailable?

Also another issue I just encountered. Was playing AquaNox, and as it was loading my next mission, the game just shut off on it's own.

I'd really appreciate some assistance on what to do here.

I haven't overclocked the card, and left it at it's Default settings.

Thanks in Advance for those who help.

My system is as follows:

Windows XP Professional
1 GHz AMD Athlon
512 MB of SDRAM
ASUS A7A266 Mobo
40GB Quantam Fireballp 7200rpm
50X Acer CD-Rom
PleXWriter 16/10/40A
SB Live 5.1
3com Etherlink XL 10/100 PCI (3C905C-TX)
MSI MS-StarForce GeForce4 Ti 4400
Samsung SyncMaster 955SL(T)
As for Powersupply, came with my In-Win tower
but it's max is 300W (not sure how that breaks down)

As far as seeing you'r VCard before the ram testing etc, MSI has disabled this. If u wish u can enable it with an BIOS update, although I don't see why.

AS suggested by rossco try installing the newest Detonators, since that performance it quite low

Thank you both Rosco and Denis.

Didn't realize MSI disabled that, it's no big deal just was curious. Was hoping it wasn't a problem.

As for the new Detonator driver, yup installed that. And my Frame Rates have improved. Also realize that my monitor is limiting the card a lot, since it can't support very high refresh rates.

However the only other problem remaining is that those two fields are still set as None and Unknown.
Not sure about that, also the detonator seems to have problems with nView. But since I don't use it, I'm not too worried about it. Thanks again.
