Hi guys

A few days ago i upgraded my monitor with the MPG27CQ2 and i am facing some strange issues with the profile option in the msi gaming osd2.0. Trying to apply any custom profile will just apply the standard user one instead. The profile option worked well for the first day but then it stopped. Another thing is that if i change any option in any of the standard profiles(User,Fps,Racing....) and then press the reset to default button nothing happens with the image, all the sliders go to the default position but with no result. I then have to go and click each slider in order for the default setting to take place. Have tried the software with a fresh Windows install, with and without drivers, same issues. Plugged the monitor in my Intel NUC with the same symptoms. Resetting the monitor didn't help either. Any advice is more then welcome.

"Gaming OSD" is software.
Must be open "Gaming OSD" and then choose your profiles everytime after rebooting.
If you restart system, all setting will be on OSD by hardware.
Please suggest setting it by NAVI key at back side.

To avoid conflict so hardware is priority first.

Gaming Osd is always open

Custom profiles won't apply even if they are linked with an app, a function that just stopped working after a day.
I was able to see changes when applying the Ray Tracing custom profile, nothing happening anymore.

Have you updated to the latest versoin Gaming OSD v. 0.0.2.31?
Would the issue happen with both DP, HDMI?
Could you plug the USB upstream cable to different USB ports to try?
Also reset the monitor by checking reset with MNT's Navi key.
Could you identify the MNT's FW version?

I have the latest version of Gaming Osd 0.0.2.31
The issue happens no matter what port i use
Tried all the usb ports with no results
Reseting the monitor won't fix the issue
Fw version is 0.07
This is my second monitor as I returned the first one thinking this is a hardware problem, weird is that it worked on the first monitor on the first day I had it
Reinstalled windows 10 pro 64 for at least 5 times with no succes.
Having the same issue when connecting to a Intel nuc plex server that is running windows 10 pro.

This is the response i got from MSI regarding this monitor.

Dear,

Thank you for your message.

Our engineers are still working on this case, so the information we provided earlier is correct. They send us:

“This issue is reported on OCSS # 552194. We have duplicated the problem and this problem can be fixed only via FW update. The FW verification is not done yet and we’re waiting for the official FW to be released to RMA. We’re still following the case in OCSS # 558963. But just saying FW release process usually takes really long so user will have to wait for a little longer. Sorry for the inconvenience.”

Also we would like to mention that our engineers were very happy with your youtube movie. They told us it was thorough and surely should help in solving your issue.

So, there is no solution yet, but we are working on a FW release that will solve this problem. When it is ready we will inform you.

Met vriendelijke groet / Kind regards,

I went through 3 monitors until the issue was identified

Have returned the 3th monitor as well and went for a Samsung G7 Odyssey, first thing i did on it was to update the firmware, at home.

Here is the last video i did for MSI.
