I've owned the card for about a week and was finally able to game this weekend. I've had the gaming switch on the card flipped since I got it and have had some BSOD errors.

Everytime I bsod it's when a game closes though the error is sometimes different. So far I've had windows stop code memory management, watchdog violation, and IRQL not less or equal.

My understanding was the switch merely controlled default fan settings but I don't actually know what it does honestly.

I ran mw2 benchmark a few times and it caused the bsod so I turned my PC off and flipped it to silent and ran the benchmark again and it never happened. Didn't happen for over a day so I decided to swap back to gaming and it crashed again during the benchmarks.

Is it possible for the switch to gaming to cause issues or is it a coincidence? I would greatly appreciate any help because at this point I'm worried the card is faulty.

Wanted to add that this PC is was built in it's entirety this week so it wasn't just a new GPU into the mix. I did add 6 more fans and the first time I gamed on it after that is when it crashed.

I checked and it says there aren't any, however I did notice my mobo bios was out of date so I updated that while I was at it. So far I've been able to play a bit with no issues. Hoping that fixed it. Honestly I'd just be happy knowing it isn't my GPU that's the issue.
