GE620 VT BIOS support?

Hi,

I just bought the MSI GE620 - very powerful machine for not a lot of money!

According to Intel the i7-2630QM supports VT-x:

However there is no option to enable it in the BIOS.  I have flashed up to the most recent BIOS release for this notebook, E16G5IMS.10A.

I am actually running Linux (Ubuntu 11.04) on this, KVM reports the following in response to the kvm-ok utility:

INFO: Your CPU supports KVM extensions
INFO: KVM (vmx) is disabled by your BIOS
HINT: Enter your BIOS setup and enable Virtualization Technology (VT),
      and then hard poweroff/poweron your system

I would really appreciate any advice or comment regarding how I can enable VT on this device.  It's such a powerful machine it really deserves to make use of VT.

Hey

I updated my BIOS to 16g5_10f/E16G5IMS.10F, and I'm pretty sure this one support VT-x.
Though I still don't see the option in the actual BIOS settings, I have installed a 64bit Linux, and don't receive "Attempting to lad a 64-bit application, however this CPU is not compatible with 64-bit mode" when trying to install Windows 7 64bit.

Note: After updating the BIOS, I thought that my wireless was disabled/broken, but all I had to was press Fn-F8 to turn it on.
