GE620DX battery not charging.

I recently received my GE620DX from newegg. MY battery is refusing to take a charge. The battery worked for a few half cycles but it will no longer take a charge and the laptop refuses to power on unless the ac adapter is plugged in.

The power led behind the power button is sometimes blue and sometime amber. The battery led on the front of the laptop is always blue.

I have performed an EC reset and nothing changed.

 
I've done that about 6 times to no avail. I guess it's time to give msi warranty service a call. I'm pretty disappointed with this I had hoped msi would be better.
 
Did you charge the battery full before first use?
Did you drain the battery empty a lot?

If you did either or both, that can kill the battery in days.
Laptop batteries these days do not like to drained, keep them charged whenever you can.
 
I plugged it in for the first boot and it would not charge above 36%. So i drained it to 10% then plugged it back in. It took a charge to about 54% then stoppped. so I drained it to 10 again and now it will not take another charge.
 
Will i have to send the entire laptop in? I have also been trying to contact MSI for days and have not been able to get ahold of a person.
