Hello, I'm not a computer expert and I have a general question. I bought the GP75 Leopard in 2020, and yesterday was the first time I reset it. The process went well, but here are my concerns: previously, I wasn't required to enter a PIN and a Windows account. Now, I have to have a Hotmail address and be connected to install Windows, and enter my session via NIP. I know it's the usual Windows installation procedure, but I didn't have to do that on the first use. Is there a way to go back to the old mode, or is this permanent? i mean do msi provide a custum installion of windows i could use ?

Also, I had the impression that there were more MSI applications, a Dragon Center or something similar. Is there an MSI applications page that I can go to download from? How necessary is it?

Thanks for reading.

Did you upgrade the computer from Windows 10 to Windows 11?

Windows 11 forces the 'online login' process by default, and you have to do abnormal things to get around it (well, not abnormal, but just not normal or obvious things....previously you could get around it if you didn't have it connected online, etc.... and just use a normal local windows account).

Answer that, and then we can talk about options to move forward. :)

hello, thanks for your answer

Yes did not reformat but more a factory resets (i am french so maybe not the correct words)
So maybe in the process microsoft took the liberty to install windows 11, but maybe i already was on it

yeah while i am writing i remember in the beggining of win11 there was an update caused bad reaction form users, so i think i was on win 11
