changed from Gf2 MX to Gf4 card some weeks ago... i have the same fps value in rtcw and Q3 (almost, gained maybe 20) and with same ingame settings as before!!

i have:

AMD Athlon XP1700+ 1.46 GHz
MSI K7T-266 PRO2B motherboard
Western Digital Caviar 80GB IDE 7200RPM
Creative Soundblaster Live! Player 5.1

kinda tried EVERYTHIN.. some listed here:

- updated my motherboard 4n1 package thing
- experimented with BIOS
- set BIOS to recommended (nvidia and G-force recomendation)
- turned V-sync off (in drivers)
- set AGP to 4x, 2x ANYTHING!!
- reinstalled OS, both w2k and XP
- tried every driver (leeked and official)

im seconds away from commiting suicide due to desperation... anymore suggestions what to do before i kill myself???... i think the problem have to lay in the motherboard, as its clearly not a driver/os/bios problem... if not MSI have a bios reccomendation for me??

I NEED HELP!!!!!!!

Nothing wrong with MSI, but rather VIA...

Most VIA chipset based mother board have problem with the graphic cards... e.g. setting it to AGP4X... plus it requires hell lot of configuration where nobody tells you what to do...

I'm also having problem... Once set AGP to 4X... the system sucks!! I know it can resolve if I get the MOB BIOS set right... the problem is... no body knows!!!

well as long MSI uses VIA chipset, im not gonna buy a motherboard of them.. its them who choose to use the [***CENSORED***]!!!
