hi everyone
I bought the laptop less than week ago, the specs are:
i7 10750H
GTX 1650Ti max q
16Gb ram
512Gb Nvme m.2

after installing my Kingston UV400 SATA SSD in the Empty SATA slot,
I noticed the fan was running faster than before but not too loud, and there were also some weird mechanical noises a few times too.
all that while still able to access the SSD and read and write data to/from it.

I tried searching Kingston for compatibility but the laptop model and SSD model both are not found on their website.

is it a compatibility issue, or could it be some part or connector that was slightly moved during installation?
and if it's a software issue, what should I do or download to install to fix it?

Note: I haven't noticed other issues; WIFI, Bluetooth, monitor, and USB ports work fine.

Edit: after further searching, I found the laptop model but the SSD isn't there, there is UV500 instead, seems Kingston stopped manufacturing UV400.

Hello @starba.m153e02d9 , I think I can't help with your issue, but i have exactly the same laptop you have :
GF63 thin 10scxr
and I installed a SSD Samsung EVO 1to, and it's works perfectly... If you can exchange your SSD Kingston for a Samsung

the fans returned to normal after 2 days, i installed a windows update after the issue was found; maybe that fixed or it was not an ssd issue in the first place.
I have one last question; how is data transfer speed from NVME to the secondary SSD you installed? is it fast or slow?

Will the noise still remain if you remove the new SSD?
It may be a compatible issue, you can upgrade Samsung EVO as JD67 recommended, or contact msi to get a list of compatible parts.

The noise is gone after few days if using the laptop.
Thank you for the replay
