Hello,
I recently bought an MSI GF65 Thin 9SEXR, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060.
I would like to connect my laptop to a second/external monitor using HDMI cable. Once I plugin the monitor it shows "No signal" message, however, the laptop perfectly recongnizes the device.
My laptop specs are:
OS: Microsoft Windows 10 x64
Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 & Intel(R) UHD Graphics 630
Monitor specs :
ACER QG221Qbii 21,5" FHD - Dalle VA mat - 1ms - 75Hz Full HD (1080p) 1920 x 1080

Graphic configurations:
Using Nvidia control panel and windows display I tried all the recommended configurations for the monitor including the resolution, screen duplication/extension using windows display setitings .
I tried all the driver reinstallations...
Troubleshooting steps done so far:
Graphic drivers update, OS update, BIOS upgrade, EC firmware upgrade, secure boot disabled/re-enabled.

Hardware troubleshooting:
A second monitor has been tested, it gave me the same results. The same HDMI cable works for a connections between another DELL PC and my 2 monitors.

IMPORTANT NOTE:
I perfectly understand the limitation of HDMI 1.4, the monitors should be able to display 1920 x 1080 resolution with low refresh rate.
The Monitors are perfectly identifiable by the laptop which confirms that the HDMI port is fine.

This is what I don't understand: Both monitors work, if and only if, I set the resolution to 800x600 with less than 60Hz !!!!!!!! (of course the image is very blurry on 1920 x 1080 monitors).

Any more ideas on how to address this issue?

Thank you!

The problem may be related to intel graphics driver, try to reinstall the latest inte graphics driver on your product page with DDU tool.

Thank you for this response. Unfortunately, this did not work. The HDMI port is connected to the RTX 2060. I tried installing the recommended version for it on MSI website (it is an old one) but that did not help. I have the latest Nvidia driver as well as intel graphics driver installed on the machine and I'm still stuck with this issue.

Try a SYSTEM RECOVERY, most likely something is corrupt in Windows if lower resolutions function, you can also try a REPAIR in SAFE MODE, but recovery is better.

The HDMI port should be wired to intel graphics, I know because someone else shared the info and screenshot of Nvidia control panel before.
Yes, maybe you should try a system reset to confirm if the problem comes with the hardware.
