GFTi4600 Artifacts

I recently got a MSI GF4 4600 VTD card and noticed that in the werewolf demo as well as in Warcraft III I get artifacts in the areas that it should be black. No other game or application causes this.
Some have suggested it might because the memory has no sinks but has anyone else encountered this and how did you fix it?
I hate to have to RMA a new card.

Using XP Pro, AMD, 29.42 detonators, no overclocking.

Once I recover from the mother of all upgrades (W2K to XP Pro) I'll try it out and see if I get the same result.

Just an update. It turned out to be bad memory. MSI replaced it and now it works flawlessly. Even on hot summer days. :D
