After installing MSI Center it offer me to update firmware of headset, but after start update MSI Center just went "not responding" status. After like 40 minutes programm just shutdown by windows. So now i have bricked headphones, when i plug it in usb i hear standart connect sound but headphones didnt work and system (and MSI Center too) dont see them. Cant find any tools and any ways to repair firmware, was have anyone same problems and maybe somebody know what to do?

As far as I know, there isn't a separate way to update/repair the firmware. I looked it up when I first bought it since I had problems updating mine's firmware. If I were you, I would contact the seller and MSI Support about this one.

A lot of people has that problem and there is no solution. Windows doesn't recognize GH50 after firmware update. It's may be trouble in exactly GH50, cause I've tried to connect it in other computer and devices - no results. GH50 just don't turn on. No sound, no glowing, nothing. Well, I will refund it. I don't think so brand new headset have to work like this

Yeah, I agree. MSI needs to work on the firmware/software side of things. Unfortunately, anything that includes MSI Center is a potential problem.

Are these the wireless ones? As I don't have a firmware update for mine(wired), and I've never updated them, ever. Are you sure it was an update for the headset and not some other firmware update?

I recently purchased a wired one. It made me do a firmware update when I clicked on it in the gaming gear section of MSI Center. Only after the update did I access the settings of the headset.
Even though I bought the product new, it may be from an old series. Where I live, it's common practice to hold on to a technological device to later sell with better profits .

what MSI Center version are you on while updating the headset firmware? and do you remember the previous GH50 firmware version?

Did anyone figure this out?im having similar issue…I just built a computer. Plugged in the dongle worked for about 5 minutes. Then msi center pushed the download, downloaded everything now it doesn’t work?? Msi needs to figure this out?? I’m debating on doing a factory reset and starting over. I have reset the headset, used different usb, uninstalled and installed 5 times….. nothing. Any help is appreciated because customer service was no help.

Cant find any tools and any ways to repair firmware,
Usually after the firmware scan, you should find a folder named "GH50" at C:\MSI\MSI Center\Gaming Gear. (If you install MSI Center on C drive)
In that folder, there should be some tools which is used for firmware update, how about running it manually?

it's the wiring, I've went through 3 wireless sets and 1 wired set. The bevels that allow it to turn left and right slightly digs into the wires and causes a short. over times frying the board over time. I could use the wired configuration through the jack for a little bit of time before it would burn out, and the wired set just went around the same amount of time. Huge engineering oversight we should honestly get a recall for these and get an updated set with short circuit protection.

Had my wired set for 2 years and they get nearly daily use by 3 of us in the house and are fine.

The gh50?
That's incredible, you must've got the only one that wasn't engineered by the interns. I'm seriously about to pay another 20$ in shipping for another rma. I asked for a wired set instead of another wireless replacement because they did hold up a little bit longer; however, just about everyone I've ever talked to with the headset has had the same issue.

Yep MSI IMMERS GH50 wired. I even have a spare one because my son dropped and cracked the head band like a week after I had them but have been going like a champ.

Give everyone an update. Mine went back to not working… I bought 2 initially because I like the first one so much. neither worked. Sent both back for rma. Tried to use one… still don’t work. It’s a driver issue or something. Pieces of crap. Never will I own a msi headset again or recommend them. Probably go Corsair but will never go msi again. What’s odd is on windows 11 it shows the dongle as a charger?? Something is not right and I’m not wasting anymore time with msi.
