I've gotten to use the laptop for a bit and these are my thoughts.
What I like about this laptop is that it gives great performance at a low price point when it comes to gaming laptops. It can run pretty much any game at a decent graphical quality. For the most part everything is straight forward and easy to use. From the standard FN keys that laptops have nowadays down to the msi dragon center where you can easily monitor temperatures and adjust fan settings along with an easy overclock option.

There are a couple things that are just okay however with battery life being on of them. During intense gaming, battery life is about 2.5 hours from full and up to around 4 hours if you just browse the web and adjust screen brightness accordingly. It's not too bad but make sure you're near an outlet if you want to game on the go! The screen is okay, it's not the best but it'll get the job done. At max brightness, it's not super bright so it may be kind of difficult to use under bright sunlight but for indoors it's fine. If you're looking for spectacular crisp and vivid images, I would suggest an external monitor via hdmi.

Finally, onto something unexpected. I'm not sure if it's the norm nowadays or with other gaming laptops as this is my first, but the battery itself is not easily removable. In order to do so, you must remove the entire bottom panel of the laptop. The panel is pretty much once piece and removing it will expose everything (much like removing the side panel on a desktop). There is a tamper/warranty sticker over one of the screws, so removing the panel will void your warranty! That means for those of you thinking of adding ram or a second hard drive/ssd, unless you don't want the warranty I would suggest holding off on doing those upgrades until a year or so later. Overall, while this laptop certainly isn't perfect I would recommend it for those who wants a solid gaming laptop at a lower price!

MSI cares not only about its hardware components but also about gaming features that enhance the experience. This is what separates MSI.
