i finally got my new card yesterday and installed the beta drivers and not only can i get power vcr II to work w/ the card, i can get iuvcr and showshifter to work w/ it also. tho w/ showshifter you have to manually set up the channels in it but at least it works!

it still won't work with dscaler tho.

an update on iuvcr:

i tried using to capture in uncompressed and divx and it crashed my computer both times. thay were the type of crashes that automaticly reboot windows xp. let me know if anyone else can use iuvcr to capture anything.

Yes, ive used those drivers and have gotten Power VCR to work. But my picture seems wrong, all white colors have to much contrast, if i lower it it fixes that but then its to low for everything else? I'll try to use that iuvcr, just need to reinstall the beta. But another ? about them, when installing it says target file is newer than the source(betas)?

ltech i had the same problem. the first time i installed the betas over the original drivers i got that message towards the end of installation. i decided not to overwrite and rebooted. the remote still worked but no other programs worked. so i installed the betas again but this time i didn't get that message. my thought is to let the betas overwrite the newer stuff and see what happens.

OK, just seeing if anyone else got that, when i looked on driver version i couldnt tell anything different other than more programs worked, it stopped putting my main volume setting to 0 and muting them. Only that color problem, once I get a good signal @ school i'll start testing them out more, I curently can only get 2 channels both of which are black and white ;( , waiting on cable company to look @ the line.

I can't get iuVCR to work correctly... I can get video, but no sound. What are the settings you use to encode to AVI?

I tried using PCM and mp3 formats for sound.

Tried DiVX 5.0.2, Indeo, uncompressed for video
