GP62MVR will not come out of sleep mode

Hi, I have a brand new MSI GP62MVR - this morning when turning it on, it is like it stays in sleep mode. Keyboard lights up, I can control the fan, but screen does not turn on at all.
- Tried holding the power key down to force shutdown, but on "reboot" it is like it just goes back to sleep mode.
- Tried holding power key for more than 60 sec. same result as above.
- Connected an external USB screen, it lights up, with a ZZZ logo.
- Now I unplugged and waiting for the battery to die, which will sure take a while without use.

Any suggestions to how to bring my laptop back to life?

What is [ZZZ logo]?  Do you mean MSI logo?
Could you open the BIOS menu by pressing [Delete]?
 
Try [Reset] and check the problem again.
 
How to do the [EC Reset]?
1. Remove the AC adapter and insert the straighten paper clip to [Reset hole] which is located at the left/right side of notebook or the back cover.

2. Wait 10 seconds and connect the AC adapter. Then, you could power on the laptop again.
