I currently have a HP Omen Obelisk 875-1000 with serial number 8CG94655HQ (Product Nº 7NB62EA#ABE)

I need to upgrade my GPU and need to know if an MSI GeForce RTX 3060 Ventus 2X 12G OC will fit?

I'm keen to buy one of your products from Amazon Spain (link below)
https://www.amazon.es/GeForce-RTX-3060-Ventus-12G/dp/B08WHJFYM8?ref_=ast_sto_dp

Also, Ihave the original 500w PSU and from what i understand, Nvidia recommend a 550w PSU, will i need to upgrade the PSU also or will the 500w be sufficent?

My current GPU is an Nvidia GTx1650 but finding out the exact dimensions differ so its hard to tell and the reason i've come here.

HP Support docs vary and the information on Nvidia is different again, plus the manuals provide different information and images than the Motherboard that shipped with the PC

I've also posted on the HP support forums with no reponse there as yet!

You will need to measure the amount of room you have in the case as teh 3060 will be a bit bigger than a 1650 will be longer and taller but shoud still be a 2 slot card
So as long as you have the lenght and the height of the GPU dimensions you can easily check if it will fit with a ruler or tape Use caution if they are made from metal if so Un plug PSU first

As to the PSU, I would not use your current one due to the fact it will be a :poop: cheap as all hell HP one and if you are going put an expensive GPU in your build, I would spend the $100-US or so and get a nice quality 750-watt unit
I would not trust a stock HP PSU with an expensive GPU

Thanks Alan,

I cut out a sheet of paper with the MSI RTX 3060 card dimensions (L/W/H) and laid it over the GTX i have installed.

It fits Height and Width with no problem, but the length has 1-2mm to spare. The length of the card comes almost at the edge of a bracket of about 50mm in the case that can be removed which isn't in use, so if i unscrew that the size isn't an issue thankfully and there's plenty of room for ventilation

As for the PSU, thats pretty much what i expected but just needed confirmation and have gone ahead and ordered the card with a 750w PSU this morning

I was considering going 600-650w but for the extra €10-€20 i thought may aswell go for the 750w to have plenty of room for movement and future upgrades as/when necessary

In addition....the part number from HP on the GPU that i thought was a GTX 1650 is L34260-001 which after further research turns out is a GTX 1150Ti!! So the dimensions and spec of the card i had in the PC were not what i expected!!

So in summary, the RTX 3060 is going to be an even bigger performance boost!

Going forward, and not sure if you can help with this, but the Processor i have is an i7-9700f which after further research should be fine for bottlenecks right? At least i haven't found anyone saying otherwise from research i've done online
