I've read the manual, and cannot understand what is wrong with the brightness adjustment. why is it gray on the screen option.
local dimming option is also gray..
attached is the relevant section from the manual..

It depends on what profile you are using. Set it to user and you should get all options available to you. If something is still greyed out, then just click on it to ungrey it.
