I recently had the CPU/GPU fan replaced under warranty by an official MSI service centre in Poland.
A BIOS update might have been done as well (the box is checked on the repair report).
After receiving the laptop back, unfortunately the Nvidia 1070 is no longer recognized by Windows and I can't install Nvidia drivers.
Tried to find options in the BIOS and ran a clean Windows re-install but without success.
Does anybody perhaps know how I can fix this?

Even after a clean install you still couldn't install Nvidia driver? That's weird though.. How did you perform the clean install?
You said it couldn't be recognized, do you mean you couldn't find it in Device Manager, or it could be found in Device Manager but with a yellow exclamation mark?

Here's a guide providing the steps of how to clean install Nvidia driver. You can take a look.

Hi, thanks for your reply and the tip! So yeah, the 1070 just doesn't show up in the device manager as if it does not exist :|
I can find the onboard intel 630 under Graphics Adapters but Nvidia is nowhere to be found. Was hoping it was just a bios setting or something but there are no options to switch or prioritize graphics adapter in the BIOS.
Already tried to remove everything Nvidia related and do a clean install but since there's nothing to remove the system/driver thinks there's nothing to install -- no succes.
Oh well, I guess I'll have to send it back again for the experts to check on it.

Did you see any unknown devices or hidden devices in Device Manager?
It happened to me once that after I uninstalled the graphics driver, it became the unknown device.
I had to update that unknown device first in order to get the Nvidia gaphics driver back under the "Display adapter" section.
So maybe you can give that a check.

Hi pgruyters, sorry to hear that. Did you solve your problem?
Could you tell if you got an exclamation mark on the GPU at the Device Manager? Are you on W10?
I have a similar problem explained here: https://forum-en.msi.com/index.php?threads/316641
So if you are having the same issue you can try to download the Nvidia 389.20 drivers, wich seems to be the only ones working when the Code 43 pops up.
