Hello.

I have laptop MSI GS66 Stealth 11UH-252RU and recently I’ve faced with issue that video driver start to fail in game – black screen, restart of the driver, picture back, then fail again... + at the same moment I hear windows sound of disconnected device.

I checked other games (AoW: Planetfall, Witcher 2) - same issue, when game starts to render something 3d failure follows
Tried to reinstall drivers, roll back to older version – didn’t help.

It happens only with discrete nvida card, if I run game on integrated intel card – problem does not appear.

Also I have found that issue happens only when I connected to electricity (plugged in), when I disconnect and laptop starts to work from battery – issue stops to appear.

How it looks like you can find in the video

Any suggestions how to fix it? Or card is broken and only way is go to service for replacement?

What are your temps like, CPU and GPU?
You did update your iGPU drivers, from Intel website?
If you don't have an external screen does it do it the same?
I presume your Windows is up to date?

normal - 60-70 nothing outstanding
yes to all other questions.

I think I have suspect - power controller and/or battery
I've noticed that it almost does not recharge and started battery calibration and it shows me some ridiculous numbers like 3k minutes to full recharge. at it now and after about 2h it charged for about 5%...
So I think next happening - when heavy load starts card doesn't have enough power and card starts to switching back and forth to "battery" mode and back to normal. explains why it works when I remove power cord.

For momentary black screens, it might be related to refresh rate change.
You can refer to FAQ to disable Display power saver, then check if the problem is resolved.
[Product Information] Momentary Black Screens When Plugging or Unplugging the Power Adapter
It helped against black screen. Thanks.
Though issue with power remains. Without blinking it is now more clear that something wrong with power supply as laptop keeps switching plugged in/battery https://youtube.com/shorts/SiKk8K2F3aw

You're welcome.
Then the last thing you can to is to recognize if it is software or hardware issue.
1. Turn off the laptop
2. Connect to the power adapter, and monitor if the battery glows intermittently.

3. If so, you have to send it for repair.
