gs70 2QE - internal fans / purpose

hi,
can someone inform me of the purpose/configuration of the two internal fans of this laptop?
when checking a HD failure i noticed the fan at the side of the hard drive was running fine while the other fan was not doing anything at all
probably one is for the cpu while the other is for the gpu?
i could of course try to swap them to see if one is broken or not.

The one that doesnt do anything is the GPU . Only runs when it has to, sofor example if ur playing games or doing graphics/video editing etc
