The audio jack on my GS75 8SF has stopped working suddenly. I know that it could be a hardware problem, but I want to make sure its not software before paying to get it replaced and seeing no difference. It also seems to have happened right after I updated Windows. However, on checking, the laptop seems not to have been creating system restore points, which is strange.

I have tried all the classic Windows 10 fixes that are posted online. The only one that made any difference at all is turning off 'enable Jack detection when device is plugged in' in the Realtek Audio Console. With this disabled, when I plug in any headphone there is a slight second of sound before it cuts out.

Given the current situation, having it repaired will be difficult as I am working from home with this laptop as my work computer. so I want to exhaust software problems first.

Anyone have any suggestions. As I mentioned above, I seem to have Realtek Audion Console instead of Realtek HD Audio managet.

Is there any notification pop out when you plug-in headphone?

Please cross verify this issue.
Try to use another headphone and test it.

If the problem not solved, try to clean install the relative audio driver.
