I have a 100W PD charger and tried it with my GS77 but it pulls 0 Watts. Is there something that needs to be done to charge my laptop via PD?
I am plugging into the Thunderbolt port. Interesting thing I just found. If I plug in the regular power adapter AND my USB4 cable, the PD port says its pulling up to 100W? I dont need it to charge with that port if I have the regular adapter though lol.Which port are you plugging it into?
Keep in mind that I believe there is only 1 port that supports Thunderbolt with PD.

I am using a USB4 cable that displays power draw.
Yes, I am aware of that, I just wanted to use it on the plane to get a little longer battery life or charge while it's turned off. Unfortunately, I cannot seem to get that to work at all. It says it has PD charging so it should charge over PD.BTW the PD charging should be designed for some emergency situations and it can't deliver the full performance when you only charge with PD.![]()
I was really hoping someone from MSI would comment on this. Is there a bios setting or anything? My GS77 has the same symptoms.
Even after updating the BIOS, it won't charge.
can you tell model of your laptop? e.g, GS77 12UHS.I was really hoping someone from MSI would comment on this. Is there a bios setting or anything?
you can try cross test with another pd charger 100W if you have.Updated the bios no problem, same problem. I have the same issue. Using a PD 100W charger. I have tried other USB 4.0 cables as well.
