Like the title says, when i shift the performance into sport mode using dragon center there is a constant scratching sound coming from inside the laptop.
This does not occur when my laptop is in comfort or eco mode. This also happens when i change to the high performance power plan through windows power options.
I have disabled the sound card to see if that was the problem and it was not. I updated all my utility and device drivers save my BIOS and firmware.
I have also checked if it was a problem with the grounding of outlet the adapter was plugged into.

Is there something I'm missing or is this something to be expected?

Use latest Help Desk to export the system info and post the text information in here.

Could you identify where the noise comes from? From speakers? Or from somewhere of notebook?

Could you also help record that strange sound with an audio file or a short video?

It does not seem to emanate from a particular spot.
My microphone, which is not good at picking up faint high frequency sounds like this one, picked it up right of the touchpad when held against the frame.
To hear the sound i suggest using head/ear phones. The sound is that constant high frequency pitch with periodic jitters.
About half way through the recording you will be able hear "swooshing sounds", that is just my finger swiping the touchpad, which i did because it intensifies the high frequency pitch and the jitters.

Thanks in advance.

Full disclosure, I didn't listen to your attached sound files (I'm a bit paranoid donwloading from unknown sources regardless of the file type :) )

I have the same laptop and experience the same sound and symptoms you described when running in sport or turbo mode.

to the point: It's a common phenomenon in electronics called: "coil noise" or "coil whine":
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coil_noise

I speculate we experience it because the sport and turbo modes pull a bit more current through the motherboard then it was technically designed to handle.  This and the very nature of cramming small coils and other components millimeters apart into a small compact board.  I'm not to worried about it and have experienced it with other laptops.  I hope I eased your concern.
