i just got a gx680 and saw this guide. it's good to know i can always do the cleaning myself whenever it comes to that (and i can do the upgrades myself if ever, as if i need to upgrade it any further...  :cool:
 
okay, i am boggled. bios shows that i have 4gb on slot 1 and 3, and have slot 2 and 4 vacant. ive been checking the disassembly guide and can only account for two slots. where are the other two slots? i plan to max it out to 16gb soon  ;D

i'm trying to be as smart as i can be, but i guess that's really not my talent  :mad:

on the bottom assembly, it's quite easy to figure out where the ram is (as i already have two modules in there stock). i'm trying to figure out where to put in the 2 additional modules i bought. for the life of me, i can't figure out where under the keyboard it is (see image via link). can anybody give me a point to the general area where the other 2 slots are? thanks

upping this thread... maybe somebody can help me max out my ram for this christmas. i know i don't really need it, but i already have the modules so... ^_^
 
See page 15 of the PDF, you're going to have to take out the whole mainboard to get to them.
