My 6 years old(lightly used) GT70 dominator laptop is stuck at MSI logo when I turn it on and doesn't let me access bios or respond, this happened on first boot after latest windows update, after removing some parts now shows extremely brief messages that I had to capture in slow motion video and still not responding to anything I press even if I press CAPS lock or NUM lock they don't change( num lock light is on)

Things I've tried: remove battery & hold power button, remove /replace hard drive, remove/replace ram & into different slots, unplugged CMOS connector, removed optical drive, wifi, camera , connected external keyboard in case of keyboard malfunction yet nothing lets me into bios, removed GPU, removed both hard drive connectors(called sata controller I think), removed keyboard, removed trackpad, removed speakers, repairing bios using AMIBOOT.ROM method and didn't work(not experienced in this so a throughout guide is helpful)

Things I've yet to try: retry flashing bios or recovery with another USB stick.

Maybe it's something simple I missed or did wrong or something I have yet to try if so point them out please, appreciate your help & comments!

EDIT1: I disassembled everything and only connected RAM, CPU, Motherboard, screen & power button and still same so I highly suspect it's hardware problem but I have no knowledge in that area.

Are you able to press F11 to select boot up device?
If not, try to follow the steps to reset EC.
If yes, use a pure win10 image to restore the system.
F11 doesn't do anything, I tried the EC reset by removing battery and then inserting it again after 20min but after that when I press power it turns on so I'm not sure if I did it correctly but I did it multiple times.

The problem is it doesn't boot nor lets me into bios.

In this case, I think you will need to send the unit to the service center for further check.

Either I'm not doing it correctly or AMIBOOT.ROM method doesn't work. As for DOS method the bios file I downloaded from MSI only have the bios file and no FLASH.bat , may try with different usb stick later. If you have other ideas please tell me.

problem is not possible boot to USB media --no possible flash
hwprogramer - external flash
msi old bios need afudos or afuefi ,,app on boot active USB "same like USB + windows"

recovery ? is hard "ami" way .,.,,.or need correct steps ""from MSI bad support"" ideal correct file not "msi custom" .ROM
but your screen "no media" possible bios waiting for repair "bad bios sector"

best is service --hw programer ""direct flash" diagnostic

or not woking keyboard only ??

Flash.bat is not included in MSI BIOS package.
If you are not able to enter BIOS menu or press F11, F3, the only solution is to send back the unit to MSI.
Or you will just mess up the laptop.

I had the same issue, here's what helped:
www reddit com/r/MSILaptops/comments/fuua2f/so_the_curse_finally_got_me_stuck_at_msi_logo
  1. remove the bottom cover of the laptop by unscrewing all the screws as shown on the disassembly video
  2. remove two that hold the Sabre HiFi metal cover
  3. remove the Sabre metal cover
  4. remove one additional regular screw and the two hexagonal spacers under the cover
  5. carefully pull the Sabre PCB up to disconnect it from the main board
  6. disconnect the HiFi connector that goes from the right bottom corner of the PCB to the optical cable port, it's the only cable from the PCB
  7. tuck the cable under the flex cables that go into keyboard compartment and use some tape or zip tie to hold it place and avoid it shorting anything
I did not remove the battery for this procedure, but be careful - don't drop screws to avoid shorts, I don't know what is powered on when battery is connected.
