GT72-2QE 980M Graphics Upgrade

I can find some MXM RTX graphic cards on eBay, mainly Clevo ones. On Wikipedia I can see the TDP because I know the GT72 is more limited on power than GT72S. I also hard that Optimus technology isn’t supported by GT72 but I don’t know where I can see if it’s implemented on graphic cards. Another factor is the MXM generation, the latest versions are MXM3.2 and 970m and 980m where MXM3.0b.

If we list the selection parameters for an upgrade, we have:
- TDP maximum 100W
- Optimus not implemented
- Heatsink shape

Is it correct?
Could a new MXM versions work on an older motherboard?

As far as heatsink get one out of VR series or use a hack saw blade on its own to shave off the bump on the GT72 heat sink that is no longer required. It can be shaved flat and perfectly due to to shape of the heatsink allowing the blade to sit flat and more back and forth. Takes a while. But worth it. Only use silver based heat sink putty. Never the silicone.
I really need help, I have a GT72 QE that originally came with the 980, so I was able to get a 1070 and when installing it it gives me image distortion... From what I was reading in this forum is that a driver modification must be made , but how exactly is that?

I hope you can see this message because you are the only one who could do it and explain it in a public forum, I would greatly appreciate the procedure friend.

I'm trying to upgrade my GT72-2QE 970M to 1060M, but I get a black screen. What custom driver do you use or modified (v)BIOS?
