I tried to cover all the bases on the title.

So, the issue is that my GPU switch stopped working at some point and now I'd like to use it. I finally installed MSI Center after, I think, it decided that it needed to be uninstalled in favor of Dragon Center? Idk, it's been years. I've been having some load time issues in games that I'm finally trying to address and I want to turn off my 4k to see if it helps - I'm not even using 4k resolution and I'm using a second monitor so I might as well try this. My graphics driver is freshly updated, I've tried disabling and re-enabling a few things, and restarting between each step. The only other thing I can think of at the moment is to look at the BiOS in hopes that something might be there. (And no, there's nothing in the SteelSeries engine that's useful.)

I'm trying to utilize MSI Center, but after logging in... it doesn't think I have a device. And it's not letting me *add* my device. I'm assuming that adding my laptop gives me access to additional features that might help, but idk since I've not used this thing in actual years now. I've also tried exiting and force quitting the Center and it's only giving me Registration under Member Center.

Any kind of direction would be useful, I'm at a loss at this point.

"I think, it decided that it needed to be uninstalled in favor of Dragon Center?" No it did not ! It will (The Ms Store) update either or. But if someone installed the WRONG version it will not fix your mistake, nor will it change Dragon Center to MSI Center or MSI Center to Dragon Center.
Intel up to 10th Gen use ONLY the Dragon Center. Intel 11the Gen & beyond use ONLY the MSI Center.

I'll definitely do that, but just for the record I did do a clean install of the latest version off the MSI website.
Cool. I dont look. You could just write the version. In the Microsoft Store is 2.0.47.
I use version 2.0.48 on Windows 10 and 11. International version downloaded from a well known German Website. It fixed a error with Mystic Light for me.

Sorry about the radio silence for the past.. forever. I wound up just not using my laptop for ages. BUT. I did find the root cause of the issue. It's not Dragon Center. It's the SCM for MSI. Thanks to this little thread here, I was able to get it reinstalled because I did *something* to mess it up. And now my webcam is also working! Whoo!
