interesting :))

on the gt683 CD there is the patch already called 1220 which patches the D2 key:
"VendorConfigD2"=hex:54,10,5f,aa,46,66,48,ab,6e,20,45,81,6a,26

and now you present 16F2 which patches B2 key:
"VendorConfigB2"=hex:35,3a,37,26,38,14,39,2c,3a,12,3b,26

funny :) what next? :)

No reponse from MSI? To be honest this driver that was specified with laptop is rather weak one (driver 8.x.x.x). There is even no possibility to scroll through page with touchpad. MSI, will the driver on the page be replaced with correct one? This is quite a problem if 'top' laptops does not have support and correct drivers.

Hi, I received my brand new GT780DX laptop last Monday and i already have some problems with the touchpad. I tried the last driver with the patch 1761 and nothing changed at all. It's always the same situation. After using my computer for 30 minutes aproximatively the mouse become jumping anywhere. I need to reboot my computer each time. I'm discourage. I regret the touchpad of my old laptop. Also, somebody know if it's possible to replace the actual touchpad board by another brand like Synaptics or Elantech and/or if it's possible to find the part number of this touchpad to be able to find another touchpad compatible.  Thanks!

Does the msi "live update" software (gt780dx bought 11/15/11) incorporate this update or do we need to do it separately?

I bought GT683 today. I see that scrolling was not supported but I really need scrolling. I downloaded the latest driver from your website. I also used the patch. But I am always getting error during start-up. Touchpad works but still no scrolling..

"Driver isn't suitable for use. Remove and update new one. (ID:0xD2)"

Please kindly help...

I have an MS-16F2-ID1 (937-16F231-012) and I also have the same problems with my touchpad. The mouse jumps here and there and sometimes get stuck and can only be moved along the horizontal axis and so on.

I tried:
1. 9.0.4.8_w700
2. 9.0.4.8_w700 with the 16F2 patch posted here
3. 8.8.3.0
4. without any drivers at all / windows own drivers

The latest drivers also spawns the "Driver isn't suitable for use. Remove and update new one. (ID:0xD2)" message for me when windows starts.

I'm running Windows 7 x64 Pro.

I hope there will be a proper driver out soon!

Can you provide the serial number on your unit?
Remove the battery and you can find it inside the battery compartment.
It's after S/N.

Thank you.

Thank you for replying Warner. The serial number for my laptop is 16F2K1111001306.

Hope it helps. Thanks again. :)

I am having this same issue.  Everything else with this laptop is working perfectly as far as I can tell so far.  I have installed toe driver as directed it seems to work a bit better but it does not eliminate the problem.

I hope that there is a viable solution as I am working in Afghanistan right now and cant send my computer in to have it fixed.

I would suggest you all contact MSI Support, and seek further advice from them.
