Hi guys, i find here some intresting information:

http://www.notebookcheck.net/Geforce-GTX-570M-und-GTX-580M-announced.56639.0.html

It says that it will be 570m gpu in gt780r soon

Is it true? And when it'll be, if it's true?

P.S. sry for my bad english))

It seems they have started shipping them to the US market, I don't know about the rest of the world though. Ask MSI as we are simply MSI product users here the same as you and wouldn't be able to answer your question.

When I asked MSI suport by letter, they said ne something like this, but only there was no word "soon" in they words))
We thinked that maybe in Europe this laptop comes with this GPU, but the support sais, that it must be the same CPU and GPU on all the planet.
Maybe it will be just an official upgraid of the laptop after for about halfyear?

will the gtx570m be compatible with the current gt780r's?

Yes, it is true, and I am betting the GT780DXR will be on the scene very soon. Join us at 'The Official MSI GT780R/GT780DXR Owner's Lounge', and watch as it all unfolds.

Yes it should be, as should current gtx 470m cards which you can buy from Clevo resellers, and AMD 6770m and 6970m which you can buy from Dell.

BTW the gx640 also supports the gtx 460m.

So are you saying we could replace the 560m cards with a 570 in the existing GT780r's?

Yes that is what I'm saying.

However, where are you planning on getting it?

The only people who sell stuff like that are Clevo builders. So, at that point, you might as well get the 6970m (which will likely be much cheaper and still a little better than the 570m).
Although, when going from Nvidia to AMD there may be some clearance issues with the heatsink. I deal with this stuff all the time, its nothing a dremel can't fix.
You can easily foresee these issues (or at least I can) with a good look at the heatsink. And there may be other heatsinks you can use (gt680 and gt780 same motherboard anyone?)

got a good point there niffcreature...i honestly don't think an upgrade from gtx560m to gtx570m will be as huge as if we were to get the gtx580m to work.  :)  i've heard this is not going to be possible though for the current gt780r laptop.  :(
