As the Heading explains; The Windows Anniversary Update has broken a lot of the functions that worked normally when I first Got the Laptop

Almost all the MSI software had to be uninstalled then reinstalled to function properly:

Dragon Center, SteelSeries 3, MSI True Color, Nahimic-2, SCM software...

Two functions I still cant recover after the WIN-10-Ann update:
1. XBox 360 controller
2. The Combo Track and Number pad...

The Xbox is recognized by the system and device manager... but some games (that usually have NO problem with it) will not allow it's use
(Assassins Creed 3, Grim Dawn, Bully, Hatred, Kingdoms of Amalur Reckoning, Saints Row IV) all ree having issues...
in fact, Assassins Creed lists the controller 360 as a control option... but the controller has no response if you switch to it, like it used to...

WHAT ELSE CAN I DO?!?!

The Track\Num pad partially works... the tracking and multi-finger gestures work perfectly, but when you try to switch it to Number pad by
touching the switch in the upper left corner... it doesn't respond... no Number pad or it's lighting...
What else can I do to get it to come back?!?

I need to block these windows updates without blocking essential protection...

I'M GETTING SICK OF MICROSOFT BREAKING MY SYSTEM!!!!!!!!!!!

My latop is one step lower than yours. I have a 360 controller but I never bother using it. I have the Xbone bluetooth and it works fine. I did have the 360 on my main rig and windows anniversary didn't break it. You could try downloading windows 10 from Microsoft that already has the anniversary built in and download the driver/utility from MSI. That's what I did for my laptop and everything works fine for my model.

Biting the bullet and taking your suggestion...
I can't take this anymore...

I'm going to clean install a copy from Microsoft and start from scratch...

it'll probably take all day, and i'll have to reinstall EVERYTHING...

Thanks for your input!

For touchpad/numpad, maybe you could reinstall the touchpad driver from MSI website.
