GTX 1050 Ti Laptop - >90? while gaming & COOLER BOOST activated

Recently I purchased a MSI GF63 Thin 9RCX
i5 9300H - Undervolt -0.130 V
GTX 1050 Ti
3 touching heat pipe (2 GPU & 1 CPU) and 1 fan.

This purchase was not intended for gaming. But after hours of gameplay, I have been tempted to download the new COD. This should not bee the heaviest game around (also if it is a heavy game to my PC, I know). Anyway, back to my topic:
After having found the graphic properties I put the markers of FPS, latency and GPU temperature... also with 1080x720 and all those bull***t as shadows/reflexes/particle resolution OFF... the GPU temperature reach > than 90?. Maybe around 80-90 if I setting all at minimum (with minimum I mean over 1080x720), but always with peaks up to 93? and the COOLER BOOST activated. Some reviews on Youtube showed similar temperatures with SLOWER FAN SPEED and the CPU NOT in UNDERVOLTAGE.
Sincerely I don't care about FPS, they never go down 30fps and it's enough for the purchase, but I would like to play over 1080x720.

Should I be worried? I'm pretty sure the GPU is reaching the thermal protection: peaks of 93? never go up and I heard the GTX 1050 Ti could work until 97? (which I think is reaching inside).  It is normal to be so hot at those settings? The CPU works really fine, always under 80? thanks to undervoltage.
The PC is just new and on the warranty and I have no intention to open the case and change the thermal paste.

I also would like to play on another 22'' screen with HDMI, could this put more load on the GPU?

use vsync / halfsync or fps limiter

gpu is 90C temp limit ..,94C slowdown 99C shutdown
,,or use "smi" from nvidia ,,real numbers

Sorry, what do you mean here: "and coolboost ?? is bad ,,is max positible cooling" ?

So you think those temperatures are related to some problems? Or it is just normal due to the low budget of the 1050 Ti?

you testing on coolbost ? and get "overheat" ,,bad cooling
better thermal paste or ,,need lower gpu usage "fps limiter or vsync or lower game setting"

I never get temps over 85.

afterburner + custom voltage curve ? dgpu nvidia

edit ..is the possibility of undervolt gpu + OC and the temperature is ok
but rather if it is written by someone who does not have to use a compiler

use hwinfo or mod afterburner ,,need see current voltage  "in load" reduce down
mod voltage monitor for nb

in C:\Program Files (x86)\MSI Afterburner\Profiles ,,your gpu id ,,add line
use video up how to work with it ,,only not raise offset ,,only set undervolt ,,last the highest point is your - voltage limit "under volt"


for gtx 1070 is max 0.893 - usable 115w card default limit
gtx1050 ?? must find your best voltage under load + under your bad temperature ,,,msi kombustor is good for simulate 3d render

Yes I used Afterburner, follow what next3r said in post above.
Set higher frequency below tdp level and lower frequency after tdp level

It looks complicated but it's simple ,,only need monitor your gpu voltage in your games on your preference "setting" and fps
and use this voltage to limit or set little lower

boost clock is wrong,.,maybe just set the correct limit for tdp "tdp problematic -my screen under full load"

boost clock work on tdp "power limit" ,,on lobby get 1.2mV and in game power limit and 0.750mV ,,old games is worst "overheat"
,,random voltage raise up "gpu load" better set limit + max offset ,,,on old games no need 2100mhz 1.2mV and on new get 1700mhz 0.750mV all is bad

use under volt + OC ,,clock is ok -no danger ,,,only get screen freeze on max ,,use "oc scanner" test need 90./. is ok -stable
OC scaner "auto OC" not work ,,power limit or nb not compatibility


use core offset + 200 ,,and use voltage curve " ctr + f " "limit" test stability  ,,,mem not raise "not make sense"

I tested some custom curve yesterday... I set the MAX frequency lower than before (-54 MHz) but reaching it at Lower Voltages. And the game ran fine with cooler temperatures.

Now I changed the curve with less offset in MAX frequency (-29 MHz) but reaching also in Lower Voltages than before (attached pic).


I ran the test and seems works... my question is:
this setup is just UNDERVOLTING without overclocking, right? It's safe to use?

Maybe you explained in some answer, but I didn't understand how to know the lower voltage limit for MAX frequencies: it shows up if my system crash and reboot, right?

images guide ,,and dragon center is sometimes problem ,,reload default curve on restart or profile change

bad oc ,,get game crash or flickering or other ,,but best test is OC scanner -test -result
,.only not raise memory get more power limit or instability


you are now using 1700mhz/0.950 mV ,.edit offset curve vs default -you use now OC
