Hard drive not being detected using a z87m Gaming

Hey,

I'm having problems getting another hard drive to work in my computer while using this mobo.
I have tried changing around the sata ports/cables, different power cables but still not being detected. I have also reset my CMOS but it is still not detected either in the bios or in the disk manager.
When I disconnect my main hard drive and switch to the one I'm trying to add works fine but as soon as I add my current one back again, my main one is the only one detected.

What's the not-detected drive exactly, is it a whole new drive or..? Do you have any DVD ROM or other SATA in port? Does the problem drive be able to be detected in all SATA ports when your current working drive is unplugged?
When two drives in, does the drive just disappear under BIOS, even Hardware Monitor? Where do you check if it's detected?

You are talking about having 2 drives in the system. But in your signature you only list a single drive. What drive are you trying to add? It's a bit hard to see if there's an issue if we don't know what the 2nd drive you're adding is.
